These are so beautiful on you! I just hate that H has stopped producing the PM moussies. I adore the GM size, but there's definitely a time and a place for a 90cm.

You gorgeous girls are going to get sick of me but I wore Axis Mundi cw #10 out for errands. Pony, flip flops, jean jacket--you know--slumming it, but of course a mousse. Goofy, but now I feel good.

So happy yours has arrived! It looks great on you. I enjoyed your story about your mother's reaction-- my SO didn't quite put his feelings into such vivid words, but I could tell when he saw it that it was not his favorite of my my scarves. But to me, it really is elegant, unusual, and unlike anything else I own, so any naysaying will go unheeded!

And, I have found that while a s/c gm actually with fluff up with use, a mousse somehow loses a pillowy-ness as she ages. However, this has to do with the difference between changeant and regular mouse and the age of the mousse. IMO, changeants lose a puffiness, and kind of, thin out. Regular mousses stay more in form from the minute you receive them, and older mousses, are even more robust than today's mousses.

This is extremely helpful to know! I've been thinking about trying to seek out a few non-changeants, and this makes me feel even more confident that that's a good idea. I do want my mousses to stay lofty over the years, especially given how often I'm wearing them.

I think one of us needs to hold their hand and guide them when it comes to choosing which designs to reissue. I would also like to see some other old chestnuts (ie., Geisha, Joies des Montagnes, etc.).

Super-excited that a purple 90cm Splendeur des Maharajas just popped up on Jan's site, and I was able to snag it! I have the peach version, which I posted a month or so ago in this thread, and I mentioned that I'd love to have other colors of the same pattern. Chestnutty sweetly remembered I was looking for other colorways and kindly PM'd me about a taupe one on eBay, but it had an orange border similar to my peach one, so I decided to hold out for purple but wasn't at all confident one would materialize.

I had it shipped to my US address so that I won't get taxed into oblivion on it in the EU, so I won't get to see it and post it here for another few months. Congratulations, calexandre, those pics of Vildachya's are lovely! What an usual mousseline. Wish they would make more that are a little different and really take advantage of mousseline's transparency.

Congrats, that was a great find. I have one too - in fact, I have Vildachya's that I won in an eBay auction. It is really lovely and I wanted it for years, ever since I saw a friend wearing one!!

Thanks hopiko - it's rayures mexicaines - I think that I purchased it in 2009 or 2010 - if I'm remembering it came in some amazing colorways!

This is Coup de Fouet cw8 noir/violet/ardoise. This really is an interesting cw. Folded differently, the mousseline looks like 2 entirely different scarves. Enchanting!
