Lanit, those feathery brushstrokes are divine! And Chestnutty, what a beautiful photo of the changeant "glow" in your Mosaique. I saw this one at the boutique recently in plastic wrap and didn't ask for it to be taken out-- now that I've seen it in your photo, I might have to go back and look again.

Re: casual mousse-wear, count me among the fans of mousselines with jeans. I'm finding my Aux Portes so easy to toss on for a very casual tone-on-tone look with jeans and a blue top. And I do mean literally toss on-- when I'm wearing them casually I don't even bother with a simple bias fold. You can just grab these mousselines out of the box, stuff them over your shoulders any which way, and go.

yaaayyy, looks great!

Posted on SOTD thread - Gloirie by Gloria Petyarr. Wish H would reissue this as a stole. Love the fiery red/orange version that Markova has. And this pattern is so versatile.
Such a pretty neutral, lanit. And I like your lipstick too!

It's Dahlia from 2006. I had an entry on it set for next wk but I moved it up and published it since you brought it up.

You're a fountain of information, seton. Thanks very much!

Holy...:loveeyes::woot:!!! The perfect emerald green mousseline!! OMG....I love, love, love this, look how pretty this is . And burgundy wave *swooooooonnnn*. Thank you for sharing, hopiko! I am really in love with this one...
Chanel, I saw the emerald Flots when I picked up the blue one. Unfortunately, most greens do not agree with me but I can say that in real life, the colours are very deep and rich.

Thx fig! I have decided to wear my cw6 on my next visit to the boutique! I shall demand to see your wonderful cw8 as well! Sb posted it & I drooled. Unfortunately it was not available the last time I visited. U sure know how to choose! Congratulations!

Thanks, D Lee. Good luck on your mousse hunt.

Photos speak better than my words, so here are an example of the changeant effect. Yup, that copper/yellow light is it!

In normal low light condition, the main color is this mauve

And, yes Monceau I can dress up and down with mousseline, especially this Mosaique au 24 due to its agreeable pattern. And, I do wear it with jeans.

I better run before **Chanel** kills me for tempting her further, LOL :graucho:.

Gorgeous, Chestnutty and calexandre!

As for your question about getting two colorways in the same pattern... I've been mulling that question too with this very mousseline design. Ordinarily I try to avoid duplicating patterns, but in this case I really feel the various colorways of this design look so utterly different that I'm seriously considering a second. I still can't stop thinking about the poudre colorway (#10), and it's so unlike my own #7 that my SA insisted it wasn't the same scarf and wouldn't believe me until I showed her the little beige plastic tag with the name of the design on it! I do think this gorgeous grey version you have with its bright accents also looks utterly different from the poudre, which to me looks a bit like an antique botanical print on parchment paper.

I'd better stop before I really do talk myself into #10 too.

Hi calexandre,
I tried both your Axis Mundi cw7 & my intended cw10 numerous times this morning. I had a hard time deciding because both cws looked stunning! Your experience played out in reverse!:D I argued with the SA that the brown moussie (cw10)could not be the same Axis Mundi I had on at that very moment! Mine should be the regular version & the one laid flat on the table was a different version, called poudre version. I even put down a wager & then put down my own cw6 side by side with the cw10. Lo & behold! They really were the same design & I lost the wager!

Thank you, D Lee, you are a dear and so thoughtful! I have admired your collection as well and your pictures of 06 sent me on the hunt for this mousse! It sounds like we have similar wardrobe requirements - I am usually in jeans or linen pants/ summer dresses, with the occasional luncheon or meeting being the odd time I dress up during the day.
I think the 07 in fuchsia is gorgeous, but it would never work for me. Your lovely 06 is colorful, but not overbearing. Of course, I always love neutrals as well, so I hope you can sneak a pic of 10 and let us know your thoughts!:flowers:

I actually purchased cw7 Irise/Moutarde/Vert today. As promised, here is a close-up taken in daylight. I shall post a mod pic if u think that helpful. I find the design shows through well & the color subtle enough for 'serious' occasions. Calexandre is correct, this is a very different cw from my cw6. I would use cw6 for casual occasions & cw10 when I am wearing heels & a suit.

So excited you got this! Congratulations. :hugs: But as I feared, seeing it again is making me think I really do need this CW too. I wonder if I can still get my hands on it.... Please do post a modeling shot when you can; this colorway is just so so pretty I can't possibly see enough pictures of it.

So the official name is "Irise?" Where did I get "Poudre?" I must really be losing it! I blame TIICE (Temporary Insanity Induced by Chiffon Exposure).

Thx calexandre! I must admit that Englsh/French is not my mother tongue. The entire reference is: H342025S10 Poudre Irise/Moutarde/Vert. I asked the SAs what poudre meant & they told me it meant powder in English! No more explanation followed. Discussion over. They really thought I was losing it due to TIICE(Temporary Insanity Induced by Chiffon Exposure)!

D Lee, I hear you about the French. My very limited French vocabulary is sourced solely from Hermes products and restaurant menus. Oh well-- at least I can stuff my face and spend all my money very effectively in France. :giggles:

stunning. no words.

Thanks, D Lee. Good luck on your mousse hunt.

Thx fig! Indeed, I had good luck on the hunt & u can see the trophy below! However, our boutique does not have cw8. Óh well, less temptation then!

He he! Ha ha! Ho ho! Very funny!:roflmfao::roflmfao::roflmfao: As requested, I have attached a mod pic of Axis Mundi cw10 poudre irise/moutarde/vert here. I guess if u don't have tons of mousses, it should be OK to get a duplicate for a wonderful design. OMG! I don't understand why I had to wear the same top for ALL my mod pics:D Must buy tops instead of scarves in future! They are way more gentle on my purse:D

Spectacular! I love that citrus green and the teal hem, and I seem to remember thinking the bumblebee looks especially adorable in this colorway. How could I ever have thought I only needed one Axis Mundi mousseline?!

Thank you for posting this, D Lee, this cw is divine and you look stunning!
You will not regret having two in this design, because they are so different.
Now, if only I can manage the same! This has been a busy H month for me already,
so I should probably choose between the two myself...WAAAAA!!!
I guess I should check with my SA to see if either are even available, because
my decision might be made for me.

This is an interesting scarf! It has BOTH the birds & the bees. :smile1:I finally decided on cw10 because I think this is a relatively rare color. Once it's gone, it may be gone forever!

Hi ladies...

I have been following this thread with some interest and admiring your mousselines as i think that I'm going to take the plunge and add one or two to my ever-expanding H scarf collection. I am considering Axis Mundi as my first. The cw's available to me are 05, 06, 08, 09, 10. Somewhere on this thread I found a post citing some of the 'changeant' colorways, but now I can't find it. Can anyone tell me which cw's have the effect, and also if anyone has any recommendations about which color would be a good first choice it would be much appreciated. I would like to be able to see the design, and from what I've read some cw's in Axis Mundi lend themselves better to this than others.

Also, and anyone who has 08 tell me if it would be a good complement to Capucine togo?

I am still going through this thread hunting out mod pics to help me decide, but I'm about to have a baby and am also trying to get a billion other things done concurrently, so any feedback / advice would be much appreciated!

Thank you!!

From the colorway name and verbal description (credit to a lovely tPF crime partner and my SA), I assume S05, 07, 08, and 10 are changeant.

S 05: changeant is blue azur
S 07: changeant is yellow jaune
S 08: cheangant is rose indien (fuchsia pink)
S 10: changeant is grey grise (D Lee, can you confirm?).

I have a non-changeant white/corail Aux Portes du Palais and it's lovely, comparable to Axis Mundi. It's a Christine Henry's creation, too.
