I bought a gold on gold epsom Bolide 27, and a breania fourough 24/24 online in the recent month. I live about 3 hours away. Too me, the convenience of online shopping wins. Even when I go to Chicago now, I usually avoid downtown and go to places like oakbrook, which does not have Hermes

Hi! I've been wanting to start a purchase history at the Chicago store but have been told right now the stock is low and it is not worth it. I would like to get a KP or kelly/birkin 25. Should I wait until next year when stock will be replenished or just start now?

Are you looking to buy a bag this year or next? If you are looking to establish a purchase history for a bag this year, that will be tough, but if you want to simply start establishing a history, there are always items to tempt you at Hermes. Even in low stock times, they should have a variety of silks, jewelry, shoes to choose from.
Went to the Chicago boutique yesterday. Overall stock is low, however I was able to get a few things. Picked up:
- H Deco Platter
- Air Tag with Gold Luggage Tag Holder
- Kelly Double tour bracelet in Blue with GHW
- 2 nail polish colors
- Silver scarf ring
- A pair of suede booties and Catalya espadrille were ordered and are being sent to me. The espadrilles were very impractical in Nov in Chicago, but I loved the color, Beige Dore, and thought the versatility would make them very wearable in the summer.
Here are few things that weren't in store:
- Double tour Apple Watch - didn't have in my size
- Tableware very very limited, the platter I purchased was taken off the display (SA said probably 6 months before houseware inventory will be more readily available)
- RTW was lighter than usual
- Only silver scarf rings
- SLGs very very thin - almost no Calvis or Bastias
- Shoes, not all sizes in certain styles...FYI, I'm a 36.5-37 in shoes for reference, I was quite happy the two pairs could be ordered!
My SA recently left, so I met my new SA yesterday - we discussed my wishlist, but I didn't ask about any non-quota bags and wasn't expecting a quota offer the first time I met my new SA. The display had far fewer Herbags and not one Garden Party (which typically had been on display).
Agree with @A74 that it's worth going into boutique to start building your profile, but set your expectations low and soak up the experience. HTHs!

I was recently in store about a week ago. Was your SA Halina? She recently left and I loved her. My heart was broken when I found out she was gone. She offered me several bags and my new SA was like "it'll be several years before you get another offer."
Halina was my SA as well. I was so sad to hear that she’s gone. I have an appointment with my new SA on Friday.
I was told they don’t have much inventory. But hoping I can find something as Friday is my birthday. Lol
I see you're new to the H forum. I'm glad that your previous SA in Chicago was able to offer you many bags and I'm sorry that your contact left and that you have to start with someone new. My SA left recently as well. Perhaps you should talk to the store manager and go over your profile. I think the inventory has been very low. Have you discussed your wish list with your new sales associate?
My SA also left about 2 months ago and he was an absolute gem. I do know that the inventory is quite low on all fronts. Let us know how your Friday visit goes and happy early birthday to you! I hope you get along well with your new sales associate and that you two click. The store and the staff have been through a lot over the past two years, my heart goes out to them.

I haven’t been to the boutique since April, life just gets in the way. Lol.
When i made my appt, the Manager mentioned that they were very low on inventory so I’m keeping my expectations low on this visit.
I was hoping to get another bag during this visit. I wanted to look at a bolide, Halzan, Or jypsiere I only have one Hermès bag, an Evelyne. Wanted to get something I can wear to work and as an everyday. Love my Evelyne but it’s just a tad too casual as a work bag.
Yeah, I flew in for my Hermes appointment and they told me before I arrived that they had absolutely no inventory. But when we were looking at Apple Watches, they brought out 3 Birkin's to show to a woman right next to us. I was shocked. I even asked, "Oh, is that a 35 in Togo with GHW?" and the SA who was boxing it up said, "I don't know." and walked away. They have inventory, they just don't want to give it up. My new SA (Joseph) has been there for a couple of months and knows my birthday is coming up. My fingers are crossed he comes through. He was really pushing a necklace and earrings. But I don't really wear jewelry, except a watch, and my ears aren't pierced. I could sense his disappointment when I didn't purchase each piece. We've got this. Good luck!
Yes, we discussed my wishlist and made sure it was UTD. The SA basically said, you should've taken those offers when you had them because you won't be seeing a bag for a while, if ever. I'm remaining optimistic, though!
Yes it was! I think Wednesday evening. Was there today and everything was ok. Although Prada looked like it was closed
It's just the worst... And they maced the security guard who is the nicest most lovely man on the planet. It makes me sick.
I know, saw it on the news. Honestly I’m surprised that Hermès still has a boutique in Chicago.
Was there earlier today and it was business as usual in there!!

A few months ago I was told by the manager of another nearby Gold Coast store that Hermes came very close to closing after the last big robbery. No clue whether that is true.
