Oh no! At least this explains why I haven’t heard back from my SA. She had put a couple of items aside for me and I was going to pick out which ones I liked. I hope everyone is ok. :sad:

Chicago H is Open but windows up and down Oak Street boarded up- some stores still boarding up today - here is Hermès - appointments are being held.
Lovely things in the store-

I was there today. All of Oak Street and most of Michigan Ave. is boarded up. Hermès windows always make me smile - they are so whimsical and colorful. But the boutique itself brought the color and whimsy! There was lots of beautiful things to look at. My SA said that people are shopping and with the factories closed in France she is worried about inventory for Christmas. So get your shop on!

Hello. I'm making my first visit to the Chicago Hermes boutique this week. I am hoping to add a Kelly to my collection (in the next year). Any and all advice appreciated for this first appointment! TIA.

Hello, I live several hours away from the Hermès in Chicago but would like to start a relationship in hopes of purchasing a Bolide 27 in epsom and/or a 24/24 29. I see these items pop up online from time to time but think I’d have better luck with colors (not too picky, fun color bolide and gold 24/24) at a store. Can anyone suggest a SA in Chicago? Is it appropriate to cold call the store and ask for those items? Thanks for your help.

Cold calling almost any boutique to ask for a leather bag can be awkward. While I don’t have a specific SA to recommend (I’ve had good service by all SAs at this location), I will say that they currently have a black 29cm 24/24 and a bambou 31cm(?) Bolide on display and readily available for purchase. If you do decide to make the trip to Chicago, call in advance as shopping is currently by appointment only.
