Hi:

I know this thread is old, but I had my first Hermes Chicago visit this past weekend. It is my local store. With the pandemic, it is appointment only. When I made the appointment the SA asked if I was looking for anything specific, Oran Sandals.

My SA was great, she showed me the Orans I was after along with some other suggestions from her as well. About 45 minutes into the appointment, I inquire about a Birkin bag. She asked if I had a wishlist, I did not, the 2 pairs of Oran's would be my first purchase. Anyhow, we spent a good hour going over my wishlist. She did say that the wait can be up to 2 years long. We went of colors, leathers, hardware and she brought sample birkins and kellys. She also suggested that I should consider a constance. She ended the appt showing me more things around the boutique.

I guess my question is, for this particular boutique, how long is the wait to get an offer? I know that there is criteria to meet, loyalty, diversifying your spending, how much you spend, etc. But I was wondering what is the criteria for this particular boutique?

I did order another item from her this week that I was debating over last weekend......

I came into the store, had a good chat with the SA who took down my wish list, a week later, he called and said that the black 30 Birkin (Togos leather) was available to purchase. Afterwards, we would purchase 1-2 non-quota bags over time before getting offered a quota bag. I find the SAs at this Hermes store to be the nicest of any Hermes I’ve ever been to (NY, LA, London, Paris) and have continued to shop with them even after moving from Chicago.

Yes they are reopened. And yes it safe. Most all the stores have recovered and are open as are all the restaurants nearby. Enjoy your visit!

I visited yesterday! Everything is back to normal and there are cops all along Oak & Rush. Nothing to be concerned about Visit on the weekday if possible. It was packed like a supermarket yesterday morning hahahah

Just called the Chicago Hermes store and the recording states that they are closed until October 15th.

I was told the 16th yesterday! I originally had an appt and the manager called to reschedule yesterday saying they’re closed until the 16th.

They only have their work phones while they’re at work. The SAs aren’t allowed in the store atm, so I’m sure they’ll contact you once it’s open again!

This can explain why I haven’t heard from my SA. I have an appt with her on 10/10. I sent her a text on Thursday requesting an item. But does anyone know if they can access email?

I’ve been trying to get into the boutique since august. Does anyone know if there is a way to reschedule, since I have not heard back from my SA? Thanks in advance!

my guess is it’s probably COVID related since it’s closed for two weeks.

I feel like this poor boutique can’t cut a break. Looted twice and now this.
