Hello! I am a total newbie to the luxury world. I know there are Chanel bags that are really hard to get without purchase history. In the Bay Area, how hard is it to find a Chanel 19 in store (any) in colors beige, dark beige, or brown/ caramel etc? I am asking because I am seeing some on preloved sites for the same price as retail. Am I better off buying a used one? I do not have a large income and can't buy chanel bags all the time.

You can visit two boutiques in SF, one inside Neimans and the stand alone across the street. There is also a boutique at the Palo Alto Neimans. Black is more readily available, caramel is almost impossible. But you never know what might be coming in, so definitely check with all 3 stores if you can.

One more thing: if you decide to buy preloved, some companies like Fashionphile will allow returns if you do not love it. But most personal shoppers and private sellers do not. So try to get into a Chanel boutique and try on the 19 you are interested in to make sure the size and style are to your liking.
I haven’t been to San Francisco since mid March, but I remember the Chanel inside of Neimans had the size medium 19 (which is the smaller one) in black and also in white.
The beige family of colors, especially the caramel colors are extremely hard to find new.

Thank you for the info! Wish me luck <3

How well stocked is the Chanel boutique on Geary in terms of classic bags and SLGs? And how is the service there if I’m a walk-in customer? I’m stopping by SF and will have one afternoon free to shop for a present for myself (from my husband lol). I’m debating going to Chanel in SF or to 3-5 stores I love at the Stanford mall south of there. I only have time for either one.

(Does the NM at the Stanford mall have Chanel classic bags stocked? That’ll be awesome!)

Sorry for the late reply, but yes I can attest that NM in Stanford mall does sell Chanel classic bags. My mom bought the medium classic flap in silver hardware and caviar leather there in late 2021. They sell out super quickly though - my mom got lucky in grabbing it - there was a lady behind us who wanted it but we got there first. We also aren't regulars or VIPs.

Hi, I need help finding SA in any of the chanel stores in San Francisco preferably the one inside NM. I mostly do my orders remotely and have an amazing SA in Florida but I can no longer buy any classics from her due to the new policy. I did not have a good experience at the stand alone boutique in SF, the SA that helped me was okay but was never really good at responding texts and barely put any effort in looking for what I wanted. Lol
