No appointment is needed now. There's sometimes a line on the weekend but not much on the weekday. If you don't have a regular SA, the greeter will assign you an SA to shop with once you enter.

The new Chanel at Nordys valley fair had a drape infront of it instead of boards. Seems like the March 2023 date might happen.

With the Chanel boutiques set to open next month inside Nordstrom at the Valley Fair Mall, San Jose, I think we are ready for a thread. There will be a handbag boutique on Nordstrom's first floor and a clothing boutique upstairs, I believe on the second floor. Is there any word of opening...

Does anyone has a similar experience / observations as me? I shop at SF store.
I’m into RTW, I noticed collections arrived later than the official Chanel website suggested.
I had occasionally ‘pre-order’ items, a lot of the time I didn’t get them either I was too far back on the list or I have been told by my SA that the store didn’t get the allocations.
I travel to Europe quite regularly and sometimes will see other items of the collections. I noticed this time that a London boutique is still showing a jacket that is in Pre-fall 2022!
Is Chanel struggle to produce enough items? Or their policy changed to create a EVEN more exclusive brand? I feel sometimes it is harder to get things at Chanel than getting a quota bags at Hermes!

I shop at a nearby boutique, not the SF Chanel boutique. However, I notice it has been getting harder to have RTW reserved since about 1 - 1.5 years ago. I have the same experience as you. When I pre-order RTW, I occasionally get the items but not always.
I was traveling overseas lately, and have been purchasing other Chanel RTWs that I like from those Chanel boutiques directly.
I also visited one Las Vegas boutique and put down my name for a Chanel jacket which my boutique claimed they didn't order and would have to transfer from other boutiques...
Do you have any recommendations about the current situations? Would you consider it an issue if we shop at different Chanel boutiques going forward? (Actually I used to shop at several different Chanel boutiques years ago, only for items that I was interested in...But post-COVID, I started to shop only from that one nearby boutique, and because of that boutique/SA loyalty thing with Hermes, I have been somehow calibrated to feel guilty about purchasing Chanel RTWs from different boutiques...I dunno what is the right way to handle such situations now..
