Chanel Shopping in San Francisco

Yeah I agree. Worst service ever. I could never get any CFs there even when I was told that they have them in store and I could stop by to pick them up. Once I got there, they said it’s already “reserved” by VIPs even though they are in stock. What a waste of time. I normally just get my CFs via phone now from other US boutiques.
Yeah definitely. I no longer live in San Francisco but it really bothered me that shopping for Chanel was not only wrought terrible service but limited stock. It’ll be interesting to see what happens when they renovate that new giant space next to apple…. I also feel like SF (and Bay Area in general) is not a city that appreciates fashion to the same degree of other major cities so I feel that’s an interesting move, regardless of the large amount of money in the area from prolific industries. All I know is it’s too easy to shop at other Chanel locations and remotely that I don’t know how they maintain their clients.

Noah was one of my SAs and I was told by the manager of the store that he stopped working there for 2 months. This was June 2021. I texted him for about 1-2 months about my bag that I brought in for after sale repair, but never got a reply. I got frustrated with the generic out of office reply too.
Oh wow....I do wish the outgoing reply text would have reflected that info. Or at least some type of default communication sent out to his clients in the meantime. Would have saved quite a bit of frustration.
Glad the manager at least told you.

I don’t know if this is being discussed on other threads, but I was at Valley Fair Nordstrom today and asked if May was still the projected launch for their new Chanel; and it has changed yet again, now I was told September. :(

Yes!! I’m originally not from the Bay Area but I did notice that they don’t really appreciate fashion when I moved here. Have you heard about all of the robberies in NM SF/union square and NM Palo Alto in the past year or two? I’m also nervous about shopping there now. :-s

Thank you for this update. He did miraculously FINALLY replied to me---after I spoke with customer service inquiring about a new SA due to Noah's lack of responsiveness. Coincidence? Probably not. And it sounds like based upon your feedback, this may be his M.O. It really is rather annoying. This is my second attempt at finding a good SA there, and it looks like maybe I might have to look for another one again. I prefer making purchases with those that provide very good customer service. Sad part is, I'd really just like to walk in and try in shoes myself without being attached to an SA, and without having to wait outside to be let in. Not sure if they're taking walk-ins now. I really don't want to give my purchase to an SA I'm not satisfied with.
Yes, that’s what I mostly look for are the shoes and sunnies there and my bags and everything else @ NM. Shoe selection at NM can be limited sometimes. They allow walk ins however the lines have been long since the launch (3/10) I cam be Friday during lunch hour and there were like 5 in the queue for walk-in and 2 for appointments. I suggest getting Noah to schedule an appointment for you. Good luck, hope you find your shoes! I’ll try to go this week too, I am looking for patent mules.
