ailoveresale I like the dress ! I don't think the pearls would be too much but maybe some contrast w the hermes or Cartier would be good instead :)

Ms piggy thanks for the info. I did ask a chanel SA and she said
Black, green, coral, blue, yellow. Maybe the green is the aqua :)

I ordered a wolford bodysuit to try w my ritz skirt. I will think about the robot. I liked how it looked w tanker toads bodysuit. If this works out I'll try the turtleneck. I have a thing for turtlenecks haha.

Let me know how the bodysuit works out! It looks so good and sleek on TT.

I was thinking too much chanel - although is there such a thing? [emoji12]

Yes I was thinking of changing it up. Or maybe even going without a necklace...
The robot skirt is great! I think it's a really nice piece.

I had to size down or else the blouse part was billowing too much. But the waist is definitely snug!

Yes there's gold on the button and in the shoes, but my Birkin and clic clay are palladium and pearls silver... [emoji848]. I think it's fine to mix metals though.

I was thinking that - if only I had my ears pierced! I have one pair of heirloom clip ons that might work...

That's why I was thinking of the Cartier, it's very thin and subtle... I remember you in the black, looks great on you! I think we have the same taste in dresses and knits. [emoji6]

Thank you! That's too bad it didn't work out for you - that's what was going on when I did my usual size, and the issue seemed to even out when I went down a size. But now I have to watch what I eat!!

Thank you! I was also debating stacking more on the wrist and going without a necklace.

Will let you know how the final outfit works out. Thanks everyone for the input!

I was going to suggest earrings also until I just read that your ears are not pierced! I like the idea of bracelets. Your dress already has "jewelry" on it :)

Thinking of wearing this outfit to high tea next weekend. Just wondering which necklace - Cartier legere, Hermes farandole, or Chanel pearls? I think the white pearls might be too much... DH would definitely think this whole outfit is too much. [emoji13]
Also have to watch what I eat this week, I put on two pounds since I bought this and it's tight at the waist! [emoji13]

You look incredible in this.

Agree the logo mania is terrible. I was going to buy some blue Dior but I decided to stick with Chanel instead.

The coat in the picture is blue. You can't see it from the photo but it's really an odd shape. There are vertical pockets at waist level where you can put your hands and then a second set of pockets at the hips that flare out and look bad. It's a shame. The fabric is very luxurious.

I think I would wear the VP coat here where I live in the suburbs because I'm in the car most of the time. I would wear it as an outside coat and take it off inside. I will wear the shorter jacket as an inside jacket at work or for casual times as I wear my other jackets. I will wear the black coat more as a city coat if I'm walking in the cold outside. Either coat is probably only good to wear over sweaters and blouses, not over jackets. To wear over jackets on particularly cold days I have my max mara and you have your knit sleeve. Of course on many days here I just wear a short tweed jacket and a scarf and I'm fine without a coat because I'm in the car.

Is it just me or are coats really complicated? This is why my coat selection has been a mess. I really need to think through what I will wear. Coat over jacket? Just a jacket? Just a coat? Then add in the factor of the length of skirts and it gets very confusing. I will probably look for a camel max Mara that isn't too bulky and that should cover my needs. I also have a light and a darker trench and I bought the style that is medium fit so it fits over light jackets.

I can see why you focused on having nice sweaters. Once you have a nice coat you need nice sweaters to wear under it. I think I should focus next on blouses and sweaters.
This is why I tend to wear dresses in the winter instead of jackets. I find it really hard to figure out how jackets and coats work together, and I live in a city where I do a ton of walking so I need to wear a warm coat. I tend to be really uncomfortable when I wear a jacket under a coat. But jackets look so much better once you're in your meeting . . . That's the tricky part to me. I seem to do better with less structured jackets - ones that are more like sweaters, without thick wool or belts or big shoulder pads. And I always buy swing coats for really wintry weather because they fit over things much better.

This is wild...just saw a commercial on NBC advertising Gabrielle Chanel. It was definitely about the fashion line although it didn't show any specific piece. Did mention Chanel.com though. Anyone else see this?

My husband saw it at the movie theatre. He video taped it on his phone for me lol. We were curious about the ad too.

I'm curious about the bodysuit too. TT does look fabulous when she wears one.

Will do ! It's been years since my pink one from Ann Taylor [emoji2]

And just cos, I thought this was funny. I have sweatpants, I think.

This makes perfect sense. It was much more difficult when I worked in the city. Sometimes I would bring my jacket on top of my tote. All options are cumbersome. But I would be so sad to not wear my jackets all winter. That would be a terrible waste of money for the jackets. Jackets without huge shoulders and swing coats seem optimal. I don't like huge shoulders anyway so that helps. And sometimes I just want to wear a nice fitted coat in which case I think I just need to wear a sweater or dress. Since I have slot of jackets now I should focus future purchases there. I really don't feel properly dressed without a jacket . [emoji22]

This is hillarious. There was an article in the NYT a few months ago entitled "fashion wants you to try harder" talking about the trend back to tailored clothes and away from athleisure looks. Unfortunately today's society wants more sweatpants. It's a strong force

The closest chanel got to them was those thin silky athleisure striped pants for act one I think ? Cute but expensive !! And also see through [emoji38]

Saw this on instagram. Fall runway isn't out yet is it?

I think fall mission control will hit stores in September.

The athleisure looks are cute and modern when mixed into one's wardrobe if they suit one's style and body type. And Karl hasn't been above catering to this trend.

Hi dear Chanel lovers! I was wondering if you could help me. I really like this jacket from resort, but white isn't my color. Do you have any idea if there is going to be a black version of this jacket. Thanks in advance.
By the way, I noticed that the back of this jacket is more like a cape.
