I know right?? I thought the price was a typo. The short version is $7k which I also thought was too much. The prices for these nylon puffers are downright offensive to me lol

I actually have less issue with their pricing: if they price them wrong then people won't buy and their revenue will suffer. Capitalism at work.
I can't take all the logos. I will be happier if they remove all the logos all together. Let the clothes speak for themselves. Not the CC. Today I was at an event, and one of the speakers wore this beautiful Metiers jacket from a previous season. I could tell it was a Chanel because of the look and the Gripoix buttons. No logo, but she looked perfect.
Come to think of it, if I advertise for them I should get paid, not the other way around

The last nylon coats 19k winter collection (tri-colored and neon pink with the scrunched belts)didn’t sell so well, neiman marcus couldn’t sell them even at 40% off, so...they clearly missed the mark on this price point. It should have been 5k for the short version and 7k for the long one. The buttons aren’t even special, CC logos aren’t hand sowed, heck they should have thrown in a number 5, a clover, a lion, a number 5 perfume bottle, snowflakes with metallic yarn, strass embedded cc logos...but then it would have been 30k, lol. It’s just like the upcoming cruise white jacket , the final jacket will have less charms on the jacket and it’s like already the price of an entry level luxury sedan.
I would like Marc jacobs to take over Chanel in a new direction....bored of vv’s cropped jackets, flared pants, and denim work wear jackets. While it works for the young models , it doesn’t work for most women like she claims she understands so much... every time a celebrity is asked a question about Chanel, they’re like: “Virginie really knows women , and this collection is about free movement and is designed by someone who really understands women!” this quote is repeated over and over again by Kristen Stewart, lili rose deep, etc. all of the Chanel ambassadors who wear Chanel for free and wouldn’t pay 17000.00 for a nylon coat.

Well said. The problem is that they are focusing on a demographic that most of us don’t relate to for a variety of reasons.
this is no different than the 17000.00 nylon coat...maybe they’re trying to recoup their loss and make up for not selling these unless they went on sale and they still didn’t sell that well, lol. I think it’s different, it has some kind of cut, idea, and no logos!

I don’t like the logos plastered all and and looking at how rampant they are including in every collection, we are clearly not their main target audience.
They somehow forget that being discreet= classy and elegance…
Years ago, when my stepfather went on a National Geographic cruise to see penguins, everyone got NG red jackets that were nicer than this. I asked my SA why a puffy coat was 17K, and she said there was one with boucle and she will check for me.
I am not a fan of chanel pants, but the velvet joggers were very lush (I didn’t try on, but they looked plain and flowing 6K USD

I still have two McQueen skirts from FW 2006 I rarely touch but still refused to sell due to my love of Lee's work...they have boning and boy are they uncomfortable!
