The first jacket, without embelishment, if in black, will be the perfect LBJ.
The second jacket is very nice, though I wish they chose better buttons (do people ever change buttons? I suspect I can buy better buttons and change all).
I like the pants they introduced. They drape well, and the lower legs are fitted. I can already see Ari rocking these pants.

These are cut as ridding pants and leather, not exactly for my lifestyle, unfortunately.
I love the wide leg but this is the cheaper version at 11000 euro… the other is above 20000 euro

I must be mistaken, but I thought I’ve seen the top jacket before? Or something similar with a lot of embellishment? I don’t know if anyone else has this issue, but sometimes when the collections come in a slow trickle, I lose track of which collection it’s from. . . IMO, for my purposes, my lifestyle doesn’t merit 11K euro pants. Actually, my lifestyle doesn’t really run towards that amount for a jacket either, which is why I’m sticking to the jackets I already own (or ones around 7K USD) and focusing on knitwear. But, since even the price of chanel knitwear is rapidly rising, I see myself shifting more to Dior, Hermes, and Brunello.

@Allisonfaye, the Solomeo excursion was lovely, but I am no storyteller and I cannot top your narration lol! We were met by one of the people who do Brunello cuchinelli client relations and two of her assistants for the tour of brunellos tailoring, auditorium, school, library, monument, factory, showroom, and then treated to a multi course lunch at the company cafeteria with the employee that handles DHs special orders from the trunk show. The factory floor is amazing to see, and BC employees are very very lucky! What we learned from the lunch was that if DH wants a custom pattern, rather than only MtM, it may be possible as per Brunellos head tailor. We declined to shop at Solemeo bc DH has already purchased from the prior collection and has an appt in NY for the fall winter trunk show collection when we return. Also, bc we weren’t staying in Umbria but had a bit of a drive back to borgo San felice outside of Siena. :smile: Solemeo is beautiful and we love how well brunello has cared foe his company and his people.

@nikribcorc, if you want to buy a lesage jacket, I would strongly suggest trying on in person and buying one that you fall in love with that fits well. IMO, it’s hard to tell from pictures, and an individual can have a very different experience as to fit. JMO of course!

Ha!
The picture I shared looks more like silk? I suspect one can replicate the shape with silk.
One must have a lot to spare to spend 20k on a pair of leather riding pants, in white :-)

@Karenaellen
Linton is the company that makes a much of the woven tweed that Chanel uses. Lesage is a different process and more labor intensive and expensive. If you are a home sewer or have things custom made, you can purchase Linton tweed.

maison lesage is a truly special place - am pleased that a Chanel took it over after Francois lesage to keep it going. I believe it was used by other design houses before but now they outsource couture embroidery elsewhere - understandable.The lesage jackets are phenomenal pieces of workmanship and pieces to treasure!

Definitely better late than done poorly but I had just never had this experience before, and wondered if this was happening to other people who have been buying RTW lately.
So far in the last year it’s been two weeks from drop off to pick up for me but my alterations haven’t been major, just length adjustments in hems or sleeves. I don’t know if taking in shoulders to reduce volume is a big job or not, but that was also ready in two weeks. I’m sure yours will be altered beautifully and hopefully won’t take much longer :flowers:
