Thank you so much. The only other Chanel jacket I have is the 20A houndstooth rainbow jacket in a wool/silk which I haven’t worn at all. I do want to add a lesage one to my collection given all the reviews I’ve read here… maybe in black as classic. I saw one in the last collection with the red trims. But once again wasn’t sure if it would look old? When I first saw it I didn’t know it was lesage until I read this thread, given the rainbow houndstooth I have (which wasn’t lesage) was actually more expensive (not sure why given it’s just wool?).

I don’t have any need for these jackets given COVID so just collecting for the sake of it. I can wait for future collections too. I have young children and I don’t get out much other than school runs and beaches/parks etc nowadays and I don’t have a need to “dress for work”. My school run fashion have mums who wear a new Chanel jacket every day to influencers with their own yoga channels (activewear) and celebs who are in jeans and tshirts.

If any ladies here have a good recommendation on any lesage jackets they’ve seen recently please let me know

Oh yes… I want one just to keep around even though I won’t wear it much… but sounds like a classic so given I don’t need it, I want to wait for the perfect one. So if it’s not this season or past season, I’m happy to wait for a future season. I saw a comment here that Chanel didn’t make a proper LBJ since 2016, so was tempted by this lesage black jacket. But I trust the judgement from all you beautiful ladies who have much much more experience than me with Chanel lesage/couture/jackets.

I hear you. I was literally talking about the same thing with my gf yesterday.
Our work environment is casual, but I've got a reputation to be "dressed up" (by their standard), so I just dress to please myself. My son was asking why girls liked to look at mirrors all the time the other day, and I said, well, it makes us happy, so we do it...we are girls!
So you can wear your lesage jackets anywhere. drop off, pick up, parent coffee/dinner/social, etc. My only rule is not to buy pricey white garments because of my young boys (there were many times when I had to change my shirt last minute due to Nutella incidents). Buy whatever that makes your heart sing

Hi ladies, I was wondering if anyone has this puffer coat or perhaps tried it on. It is from 2018, and I have been searching for it in the preloved market. I usually wear a size 34 to 36 in Chanel, more so 36 in jackets. If I am planning to wear the puffer coat over sweaters and perhaps jackets should I look for a size 36 or try and find a 38? I have never tried on any of Chanel puffer style coats so not sure what the sizing would be like, it is generous enough to layer? etc. Thanks so much.

Runs large, take your normal size and there will be enough room for sweaters.
