I went in to check out some of the new collection today and also re-try the coral jacket because I couldn’t stop thinking about it… thought I would share.

first off this fuzzy jacket is quite cozy, with cute working turn lock buttons, but not a fan of the $4550 price tag.

the skirt is quite comfy, this is actually two sizes down from my usual. It has a matching pullover but is a lot of look.

This cropped jacket is a nice lightweight tweed with a cute hot pink lining, but a tad too cropped for me. Price is reasonable around $5600

This long jacket has a beautiful tweed but not practical for me.

And finally, I came back for this one and ended up taking it home!

Thank you for these photos
The coral is so compelling - you chose well- the color and fit are exactly right.

Great choice on the jacket! It looks fantastic on you! That was one of my favorites also

I tried on the long orange cardi. In person it’s more like a butterscotch. I had CHF w it. But the price gives me CHB - Chanel heartburn. I told my sa I would think about it. This was a size down - 38. My size is arriving soon.

The grey cardi and skirt are really pretty. Very substantial and I liked the sequins too. The skirt I also loved but it’s a bit on short side.

Loved the fuchsia best. The long orange is kind of Joe College and I know that is a standard Chanel look, but I am tired of seeing it.

CHB   I felt a lot of that trying on the latest pieces. The cardigans and skirt look great on you. I love the fuschia one, was it as sequins’y as the grey? I found the grey sparkly in person.

P, not to make you cry, but I saw the long sleeve pink one today and I am reporting in that it is not itchy at all! Quite soft but , like you, I would prefer the colorway above in the short sleeve version. It has a teeny bit of sparkle but not too much at all. It is REALLY cute.

❤️
Thanks SB. I have seen pics of the white in the long sleeve version. It would be so cute. I am glad to hear it is not itchy. I bet cute w jeans :) my friend tried it and reported it was quite cropped.

Great choice. A clear winner for you.
Thank you!

Thank you! Luckily no alterations needed - I was initially going to go with a 38 and let it out.

At the Royal Academy in Hermes casquette and that old Chanel cardi. Happy Weekend, Chanel ladies!!

The cardi looks gorgeous on you! Have a wonderful weekend!

It's very nice and a slight variation on the 4 pocket. A good one if you don't already own a C black jacket.
I fall into this category, I’m new to Chanel jackets, would you ladies recommend this or wait? I don’t know if I like those 2 buttons on the chest pockets. Isn’t it cleaner to have no pockets/buttons on the chest area?
Reason I’ve held off buying one is every jacket I’ve tried always made me look older. I bought lots of Chanel denim jackets though. Even the classic knitted cardigan makes me look old and formal too.

The chanel 4 pockets tops usually have buttons on them. My friend calls them boob pockets and she refuses to buy any cardigans that have them. They don’t bother me Bc I have no chestesses. LOL.

I suppose they can be styled younger if paired w jeans or other bottoms like a cute dress or skirt. The long cardi I like can be seen as fairly mature but on the runway they paired it w a cute short dress. When I buttoned up the grey cardi my sa made a comment that despite the cardigan having sequins and a fuschia trim it did look like something my mother would love. Haha nothing against my mother of course but the cardi does have a mature look to it closed. Open it was more youthful :) the runway pic also was styled quite youthful

I think the coral jacket over a pair of jeans would be pretty or over a long dress :)

Let's see...I do agree that many would make you look older, but there are other styles that can work very well with a pair of well fitted jeans. I think the styling makes a difference. I always enjoy looking at Karl's runway show pictures because the old man (RIP) had a way to style things and make most people look ten years younger.

If there is a jacket you like but are concerned about the looks, perhaps post here so we can brainstorm styling techniques?

Pigleto, my perpetual issue with such looks is that while looking fabulous, Chanel sweaters tend to be cashmere and very warm. You have two layers of wool/cashmere on top but nothing on the legs...summer on the top and winter on the bottom!
So IRL, one tends to wear tights to balance out, but then the look will be quite different.
