Hi everyone - has anyone bought this off shoulder jacket from A21? What do you think of it? Am considering this or the tweed glitter jacket BBB08108-1B29-4F6E-9D90-DBD85957D8CE.pngbut wanted your opinions. The tweed seems more versatile while the off shoulder jacket is more glam/ sexy. However the tweed is a lot more expensive and I’m worried the fabric is fragile. Would welcome advice!

Yes I agree. I love the off shoulder jacket but know I might get less wear than the tweed (which is more versatile for a formal or casual look). However the heart is leaning more towards the off shoulder as its more of a statement. I'm also thinking that the tweed jacket does will come round again in a similar style most years so I could always buy later. For a mad moment I considered buying both - and then my Chanel quest would be over forever!

I vote to buy what you love (but I’m not a very practical person). The silhouette of the off the shoulder is fun and doesn’t come around often

IMO, you could wear the off the shoulder jacket with skinny darkjeans; cut off or frayed light jeans; paperbag waisted fuller jeans; white jeans; grey, black, taupe/beige, or olive trousers (like brunello; this season brunello has an off white twill, monili belted cargo pant that would be great with this off the shoulder jacket); leather or suede skirts or pants (even some dolce or alaia leopard Calf hair or valentino camo prints) ; a bunch of full Dior midi or maxi skirts or last seasons gaucho cropped pants) or cuffed moncler paperbag waist full shorts (those also come in beige, black and dark dark charred green). you could also stick a tee shirt or tailored button down underneath for more coverage. Here’s a Dior tee shirt and off the shoulder sleeveless jacket; Lucien pellet finet belt; moncler shorts; chanel espadrille mules; BBK 28, brushed phw (I wore this shopping, then took the t shirt off and went out to dinner).

Hanash, the off- the- shoulder is magnificent on you. It is flattering and youthful. Because your hair is long, it creates a bit of modesty for the neckline which makes this so wearable for you. On the runway, the model's neck is exposed and the neckline is starkly bare. On you, your hair brushes the shoulder and creates this wonderful softness and elegance to the neckline. It is a bit different and I agree this can be worn casually with jeans for a dinner out. You could always wrap a cashmere shawl should you feel the need to cover up in a chilly spot.
The other jacket is lovely and would be considered the true classic. However, something like this is likely to be pop up again in some form and can be a future purchase.
If you are not considering a change in hairstyle in the near future, I would select the first one. I tried this one on myself and would have purchased except I am busty and I had a problem with that in this style.
P.S. They show that wonderful stretch CC belt with this jacket that really looks nice on- great with jeans or slim pants.
If neither pulls at your heart, take a pause and wait. Trust me, there is ALWAYS something wonderful coming at C. There is too much $$ at stake and I want you to truly love it and wear it.

Love the off the shoulders jacket on you also, Hanash - follow your heart.

ari posted arisajoylife wearing it on her Insta:

And it seemed to me that someone had put a blouse underneath it as an adaptation? Can’t find the pic/ref.
That styling reminds me of a scene in The Devil Wear Prada where Andi is wearing a low cut black Chanel with a high collar white blouse underneath.
