A few sweaters from my SA
Both so cute, but I just get increasingly frustrated with branding/logos on the overwhelming majority of items that come out of this house. With the exception of pants and skirts, it has been incredibly difficult to find things without it the last few years. I get it, there’s a market segment that loves the branding. But— there still exists a market that still wants understated RTW WITHOUT logos. Not even on buttons. There’s obviously a way to satisfy both customer bases but Chanel increasingly continues to exclude the latter.

The people on this thread have more sophisticated taste than the crowd that they are aiming at presently. There will always be a segment of nouveau money who wants as much branding as they can get. The need to prove that the can afford etc. Pandering to this has really changed my opinion about many brands that have done this. Their client base has become a stereotype and not in a good way.

Just wanted to add and slightly off topic. NYC is currently have a huge renaissance of sellers of imported fake designer goods. The police there either feel they can do nothing about it, or are otherwise occupied with violent crime. Either way, it is an interesting turn of affairs.

Hi everyone! I’ve been quiet on the thread but skimming through and catching up since I always appreciate everyone’s thoughts on collections. I got a chance to preview Act 1 today before the release and thought I would share as there are some really cute pieces and reasonable price points!

The skirt in the try on is super cute but didn’t think I would get enough cost per wear. This cardigan is so soft and cozy, it was instant love and came home with me

This cardigan is super soft and the buttons are so pretty, but a little flashy for me:

This cardigan coat was soft but not my style.

finally, I was really torn about this jacket. They only had one size up and one size down, and so I’m waiting to try my usual size, but not sure about the color if it washes out my complexion. But the tweed is really lightweight and the jacket is comfortable.

Thanks for letting me share!
I loveee the pink & gray

Yuck. The super fakes are indistinguishable unless you do a side by side minute inspection. I have a few trusted resellers for hard to find items from previous seasons, but otherwise shop exclusively at the boutique at this point. eBay is the worst.

I personally don’t mind a subtle CC on buttons, but draw the line there in terms of visible branding.

The first cardi is cute on you! Not sure about the peach jacket either.

If you’re also not sure that’s tellinf

Thank you for these pics! You look great and they are super helpful! If you don’t mind my saying so, I have similar skin tone, and I kind of avoid peach bc it’s close in tone! But I do wear beige and etoupe, so perhaps that doesn’t really have any merit except personal preference

That is helpful, thank you! I usually avoid apricot/peach as well because I feel like it brings out yellow undertones.

I loveee the pink & gray

It is super soft too!
