TT... The boots you like!
Lucky pbp and congrats!! I am very fond of the shorter version of the blue belted jacket but had to make the tough choice between that and the black coat for this season. It is such a great coat and I'm glad you will be getting it. This way I can look forward to seeing mod photos of it on hereJust to help anyone who is interested as far as the length of the coat version:
My coat isn't in yet. So I tried this other coat, which is the same length. The one I tried is one size too small for me. My coat should be an inch or so longer. I'm 5'6". The dress pictured with the coat in TTs photo is the one I purchased and it comes to mid calf on me.

Great idea! Patagonia makes a very slim and discreet vest that is quite warm and comfortable. It would be essentially invisible under a jacket. I have worn it under a denim jacket, but why not under Chanel? In my climate it's rarely necessary, but a great option instead of an overcoat. My SM gave me an idea about wearing some jackets or long coats as outer wear when it perhaps gets just a little too cold for them. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet but I'm mulling it over in my mind. I have noticed her doing this but never really thought about it. It looked great on her.
Instead of layering a coat over her pretty jacket she has some thin quilted moncler vests to wear under hers. Then when she gets to the office she takes off the vest. She tends to wear nice simple not overly frilly tops as I recall.
We talked about it while I was trying the VP coat. Thoughts anyone? I think done well it might work and add a quirky modern slant to our outfits and extend their use a bit. For example the VP coat with a thin black vest under it with maybe Chanel sneakers. It won't work for every outfit of course. Just throwing out the idea to provoke thought and discussion. I don't need that look often to be honest because I live in the suburbs and drive to work. But it would be nice for city walkers. Or perhaps for travel. Instead of bringing an extra coat throw a vest into the suitcase.

I have been doing this trick for travel for a little while. My vest is not even as fancy as Moncler, though: it's Patagonia. It's white and I take it everywhere I go. It fits right under my coats and keeps me toasty without additional bulk. I'll even throw it over a dress and under a coat. I want to get a black one. I'll have to look at the Moncler ones! Uniqlo also makes great little vests. My SM gave me an idea about wearing some jackets or long coats as outer wear when it perhaps gets just a little too cold for them. Silly me, I replied before reading all the way down. This is the one I have! The Patagonia vest is called the nano puff.
Yes, I love this idea. Pigleto looks great in hers.My SM gave me an idea about wearing some jackets or long coats as outer wear when it perhaps gets just a little too cold for them. Me2!!!!Ah Ari, yes then there is the issue of the height of the boot with the coat and the dress or skirt. It all gives me a headache. I keep an extra coat in the back of my car in case I break down by the side of the road. Seriously [emoji23]
Pbp The coat looks great on you but I really really love the black dress and how it fit you so perfectly!
