Nicole, you're right about the use of the black jacket for years to come !! I do hope the warmers would come separately from the pins bc I think the pins are going to be expensive hehe. But Karenallen had a good idea too !

Pup, (I love how Grace calls you that so I'll adopt it too), I love your choices. Absolutely classic and I have a special soft spot for the pleated ritz jacket ! I am excited about those dresses and kind of glad I have not seen them at my store. Haha !

Thanks! The SM was wearing another cosmopolite jacket that I have been trying to forget. It looked amazing on her. I don't think it would be terribly practical for me but I love it. Maybe at sale time. It's not one of the popular ones. They put more of the cosmopolite pieces out on the floor- plenty of cream colored long and short jackets, black with gold trim long and short, black with grey and navy trim, Pharrell coats, one fringe jacket, PQP's short quilted jacket. That was paired with Ari's beautiful skirt. Plenty of knit dresses and short cardigans. The long cardigans with the lion buttons are gone. They didn't order knit skirts.

I think they have most of Act I now. I tried the blue with lace anorak. It's very pretty. I don't know how practical it is. There are some great knits as well. Longer skirts and shorter sweaters. Nothing that tempted me too much for the moment. I'm waiting for the matching skirt to the blue black jacket to try it.

I hear ya ! I do not have little ones so no boogers for me. I would say the best deal for Paris ritz was the teeshirt And the knit cream skirt it goes with bc it's my favorite outfit !! I have worn them a ton. However the tee is quite a lot !!! I definitely paused on it but I pulled the trigger after I tried it. Le sigh. The cotton is very soft :).

Similarly the Cuba terry tank that's white w navy stripes was so expensive that I waited for sale but I've prob worn it more than I've worn the tee ! Haha. My husband says per capita the amount of money per cloth - the tank is the most expensive chanel
Piece I own [emoji12]

Sometimes the wearability justifies the price. Like my cotton track jacket, which was truly exorbitant, but I've already worn way more times compared to my jackets.

I had a dream last night that Karl Lagerfeld taught a surprise class at my law school and gave out free RTW to everyone in the class! But I wasn't able to register for it because it was a surprise, so I missed out. [emoji20] I was just about to go to the registrar and raise hell when I woke up!

Lol school dream meets fashion dream! [emoji23]

I just came back from Chanel.

Since these are already paid for and mine I think I'm safe posting. Plus I'm keeping both the navy and black long sleeved knit dresses. I passed on the white blouse. It was just a bit too frilly for me and not worth the price. I can find a less expensive white blouse

Here is the VP coat on me. It absolutely needed the belt lowered a little bit on me just like the black and navy jacket. The belt on the black coat was fine where it was. The VP coat is a 40-50 degree outside coat or an indoor long jacket. The black coat is more a 30-40 degree outside coat. Maybe 20 degrees with a heavy sweater under it. I brought one of my favorite skirts and the VP coat looked perfect with it. It also looked good with the pleats of the knit dress sticking out below it. So I think it works with more than just pants which was one concern that I had. See how I just justified two coats? [emoji12]

Here is how they fixed the buckle on my navy and black jacket with Velcro. It's very secure. I'm not sure I'll do it to any of the other belts. I wanted it done to the jacket so I could wear the jacket open if I want. Maybe I'll do it to the VP coat for the same reason. Im not sure. View attachment 3800825

Great choices, all timeless pieces! They look fabulous on you.

My Chanel boutique encourages photos to share with friends or to help contemplate a purchase. But I wonder if they are cracking down bc of sharing on social media - many of the super fake sellers will steal pics to pawn off on their own. I should be better about watermarking...

Congrats on very lovely selections. I tried the plaid and was so tempted, but it is just to heavy for this climate. I like what they did with the belt buckle.

Thank you. The plaid jacket is a bit warm for your climate. I'll probably use it as outerwear for fall and a jacket only in winter. It would probably only be useful as outerwear for you. This is probably one of the few benefits of living in New England.

Exactly about the plaid coat and since I have the fairly unworn Pharrell coat, it would not be a wise purchase for me no matter how much I loved it.

Another great combo! I have this cardie as well, but I believe it is Spring as it has the pink buttons as does my white jacket. I love how adventurous you are with finding tops for your pieces. You have a wonderful imagination!
Thanks all! I love it when my favorite designers align. Gucci and Chanel are both so distinct, so it's rare. I found the matching Gucci striped skirt recently, which I'll also pair with the sweater.

Some very nice pieces you've selected, congrats! :flowers: Love the long black coat. Enjoy!

My SM gave me an idea about wearing some jackets or long coats as outer wear when it perhaps gets just a little too cold for them. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet but I'm mulling it over in my mind. I have noticed her doing this but never really thought about it. It looked great on her.

Instead of layering a coat over her pretty jacket she has some thin quilted moncler vests to wear under hers. Then when she gets to the office she takes off the vest. She tends to wear nice simple not overly frilly tops as I recall.

We talked about it while I was trying the VP coat. Thoughts anyone? I think done well it might work and add a quirky modern slant to our outfits and extend their use a bit. For example the VP coat with a thin black vest under it with maybe Chanel sneakers. It won't work for every outfit of course. Just throwing out the idea to provoke thought and discussion. I don't need that look often to be honest because I live in the suburbs and drive to work. But it would be nice for city walkers. Or perhaps for travel. Instead of bringing an extra coat throw a vest into the suitcase.
