But the 19B is just much lighter and brighter than the 17B red. You can see a comparison photo between the 19B and 17B red in a previous post.
Here's a comparison of 19B red and burgundy under boutique lighting (unfortunately I didn't make the comparison photo under natural light). When looking at the photo, I totally see why for some/many people, the 19Bred could be a true red.
I will take a photo of my 19B burgundy and a comparison to my 18B dark pink under natural light when i get a chance.

I agree with your assessment of the 19B red, it is lighter and brighter than 17B and you can see a bit of an orange understone which I passed on. You made a great choice with the burgundy one. Enjoy!

The burgundy is darker than I expected. This is taking inside at night so no natural light. I have to do a comparison pic outdoor to see but so far I’m not impressed with the way the burgundy look. I can see more brown in real life than in pictures.

I would love to see a comparison of the 19B burgundy with gold with the 18C irridescent burgundy with gold.

Just picked up burgundy one.
I would say in the shade it look more dark purple-lish red compare to 18c burgundy which I believe to be brownish dark red.
19b burgundy in bright sunlight look really flame dark red and beautiful.
Leather soft and shinny like Lambskin look afar.

just picked up burgundy. To me it look more of dark purple- lish red than brown.

to me looking at 19B Red and 19B Burgundy side by side makes the Red look orange-tone. But looking at 19B Red on its own it looks perfectly Red. Best to see the colour in sunlight too because boutique lighting is always so horrible.

this is Pantone’s Red. which honestly looks a bit Coral to me. Lol.
so what exactly is a true red? I think everyone is just looking for their favourite Red.

Any way you can post a picture of it in sunlight so we can see how it looks?

Hi, I don't have a picture in natural daylight (yet) but I bought it this weekend and to me it looks like a deep dark red, no brown undertones (in my eyes!). If I have the opportunity I'll try to make a picture in daylight. I doubted a lot between the red & burgundy, but decided to go with the burgundy as this would fit my wardrobe better & I was sure to be able to wear in winter too. The red is gorgeous, but would have been a summer-only bag for me.
