Are the lambskin espadrilles ideal to wear in fall / winter? How do they hold up in rain?

Does anyone use “Fray stop” on their espadrilles before breaking them in??

I keep meaning to treat mine but have yet to do so. I live in Southern California so weather is pretty good, but I only wear them a few hours at a time and not on a regular basis so they’ve stayed in really good shape. I wouldn’t wear them in the rain because they’re meant to be warm weather shoes. Someone posted a pic of a pair that got wet and they were pretty wrecked.

Does anyone know if my espadrilles can be salvaged? I walked with them on a cliff and did not realize the jute came out till I got home  View attachment 4214285 View attachment 4214286

I believe I saw a post somewhere on TPF that someone sent their worn out espadrilles to Leather Surgeons and they fixed them - jute included. You should reach out to see what they can do. Good luck!

Hey everyone, I've lurked for years but finally decided to make an account to ask you guys a question! I hope you dont mind. I recently started eyeing Chanel shoes, specially the espadrilles. I was interested in a pre-loved pair, but I noticed as I was searching around various sites, that the CC logo seems to either be thin or extremely huge/thick.
The pair I'm interested in are the linen espadrilles (in white/black). I've hopefully successfully attached images of what I mean. Is there a reason why there's so many different thicknesses of the CC? My sister owns a few pairs of the leather ones and the CCs seem to be the same width on all of them. Any help is appreciated! TIA

I’m just guessing here, but maybe the different widths on the linen ones depend on the season they came out?

For those of you who haven’t taken the plunge and spent a crazy amount of money on these shoes yet... please be warned that they are horrible quality. I bought a pair of all black lambskin essparills about 2 months ago and I have worn them about 5-7 times. The jute is coming apart, the inner sole has moved and even the rubber sole is starting to chip! The customer service at Chanel is horrible too. They were no help at all and all they offered was to glue back the inner sole but that would take 6-8 weeks. Seriously guys I just bought them and really didn’t wear them too much. Very dissapointed. Do not waste you’re money you could revive one of the quality mine has. Please look at the pictures attached.

Going to Nice, France in less than a month and of course I will be visiting the Chanel-store

Hoping to score a new pair of espys as I have worn mine A LOT - and they have held up nicely

Not going for lambskin or suede as I have a toddler to run after (and another little one on the way due i March) - I would prefer linen again. Do any of you know which colors are available this season? I love my pink pair and would love another pair in a bright color
