Was at the boutique today and tried on three pairs of espadrilles in the same size and they all fit a bit different, and i would say one pair almost fit half size bigger. Whenever possible try to purchase espadrilles in person and if they have stock try multiple pairs in the same size.
I have this pair of espadrilles and bought a pair true to size as they fitted well at time of purchase. However with regular wear over two years, they have expanded quite a bit lengthwise so my feet tend to slip off as I walk so I use insoles to help get a better fit.
This is the Greek summer loafer and I bought them in my regular have size 39. For me, this style runs TTS.
Hi ladies! I want to gather opinions on the velvet espadrilles that came out this fall! I’ve heard a lot of negative feedback but wanted to ask my fellow tpfers! Yay or nay? I’ve also seen they come in dark gray and purple.
I passed on them. I did not like the way they looked and felt. They felt like cheap house slippers with stickers on them.
I don’t understand espys in fall fabrics like velvet & tweed. Espys are summer shoes IMHO & making them in velvet don’t chng anything.
Though I adore the grey color, pass!
But buy what you love & will wear. If you adore them, that’s all that matters
@cmadtmifyb0623, I have nothing against the velvet but the maintenance. You have to find a way to keep the shoes looks clean and beautiful. I will pass on this velvet Espadrilles just because of the fabric.
