Hi guys I’ve just purchased my first ever designer shoes! I figured I would go with something I can wear often as opposed to heels that although prettier to look at, I know I’ll hardly ever wear to make it worth it.
Haven’t worn them out yet cos the weather has been crappy.
I didn’t expect my local store to have this colour and size combo so I was pretty excited and bought it straight away. Just a question and I apologise in advance as I’m sure this question has been brought up a million times before but did you guys treat it with anything before wearing it out? And if you did what did you use?
Also I’m finding it so hard to put it on!

I bought the Chanel espadrille in Lambskin size 36 (I’m usually a size 6/36) Beige/black combo.

I was wearing my espadrilles for the first time today and the front of the shoes are already peeling. I’m not impressed!!! So upset I’m going to call the Chanel store and see what they have to say about it.

I would definitely ring them and ask, it isn’t good enough at that price point if they are already peeling.

Yep I’ve called and just have to pop by and show it to them.

Just an update I brought my shoes back to the Chanel store and the sales asssistant as well as the supervisor said that the peeling LOOKS NORMAL to them!!! Are they serious??? They told me that because the shoes are handstitched that it’s bound to do that. I told them I understood they stretch and flop but peeling?? No! I’m furious their customer service sucks.

Hello ladies,

I was hoping someone could tell me if this is normal for linen espadrilles.

I recently purchased a pair of the linen espadrilles and did an order through another store out of state,so I couldn’t inspect the actual shoes til I got it delivered. But I noticed that the stitching/fraying on the top of the shoes is uneven. I’ve attached the photo below.

I understand a lot of these designer goods are hand made etc so they’re not always going to exactly the same, but these look a bit off to me.

Has anyone had a similiar issue with the linen espadrilles? Not sure if I should say something or not.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I purchased the Beige/Black Classic Lambskin in a 38 in Cannes last week. They are pretty tight, I tried on the blue/black toe in the same size and they were perfect!

Also, the 39 were way to big
Is this normal?
Any advise on how to stretch them out?

I usually wear thin socks and wear it around the house first to help loosening the leather IF they feel tight to put in. Usually after wearing indoor for that day it starts adapting to your feet. These leather shoes for sure will stretch since they’re leather lining. Breaking it in sometimes is quick but you never know. Enjoy!

It does look odd that the right pair has stitches whilst the left one doesn’t. If it bothers you, return them or exchange. Too much money spent on something that you don’t feel you’re comfortable keeping it.

I am size 37.5 in sandals, boots, and pumps but for tweed espadrilles, I am size 38. 39 would be too big for you. Hope this helps.
