Thank you!! I truly love the color and ease of this bag. Just one minor thing though - if you look at my second attached picture, you can see there are several deeper creases/lines(?) running through the front of the bag. I'm not sure if this is normal for calfskin, and I think it may smooth out as I use the bag more, but what do you more seasoned Chanel folks think? Would it bother you?
it think the creases are ok and not a big deal
gorgeous bag :)

is it the metallic blue?

I've been wearing my small 22 for the past month for almost everyday for work and travel. So far I have 0 issues regarding quality, and I've put the bag on the floor on numerous occasion (including airplane) still no scratches. The only issue that I can think of if that the chain tends to dig in if you carry something heavy for a long period of time. However, since I own the small size, the heaviest thing that I can carry is both my iPad air and kindle so no problem for me!

My sister told me today that she wants a 22 for her birthday so we are going to try to go to a boutique to check them out. I hope that I don't see it in person and have to eat my words, but it could happen.

What is everyone's favorite size? I think the small might be too big for my mini loving soul, but would probably be perfect for my sister.

The bag could have been designed to look much better and more user friendly. The chains do not allow the top of the bag to gather nicely or to look pretty. Those chains as mentioned above, do dig into your shoulder without too much weight in the bag. A bag like this designed as a carefree everyday piece, has a few major design flaws that are quite obvious. Not to mention the metal chains rubbing against the bag material are going to tear it.

I know Chanel is formally investigating the defects. If the material is peeling and color rubbing off on people's clothes, at the very least it suggests a thick maybe rubberized paint has been applied as leather doesn't peel (or melt). I believe it's bonded leather. I have 3 of these now, 2 metallic and a black, I am waiting to hear what Chanel is doing to address the defects before using them.

I agree w/ you here about the chains - why not allow them to be cinched? that would have been a great improvement & also reinforce the tubes so that they don't wear at the ends. I know Chanel is playing around w/ a lot of chemical variations of "leather" (ie, the 19 and the 22) but at some point, it would be great to pay this much for real unadulterated leather. JMO.

Peeling has been a problem now for quite a while. It has to do with how the color is being applied to the leather, leather composite or whatever it is. I asked at the Boutique if I bought one and had these issues, would I be refunded? My long time SA told me no, it would have to go through repairs, so I opted not to buy until this is settled. I stick to vintage and older bags for now.

Very good insight as always from you @TraceySH so glad to know chanel is investigating the issue, hopefully they will improve quality of this bag so I can add few more colors in the future.

Styled right, I think it can look very chic. However, I do not love the large Chanel lettering which is one of the reasons I chose the metallic blue with the discreet lettering.
Agreed. I think it is refreshing to carry a soft bag that doesn’t look like a box. I thought about the lettering too, but decided it would be ok as I can just carry that side in if needed.

Hi
@TraceySH , will you be able to find out if chanel actually did use bonded leather? Something is very off with leather or the material. I wish they disclosed what type of material they used. Anything you hear from chanel please share it with us! Greatly appreciate the input.
