Hi everyone! I'm considering adding the Chanel 22 in the small size and was curious if anyone has used it to carry a 14-inch laptop. I don’t need to bring a laptop often, but I’d love to have the option when needed.
Would the laptop fit comfortably? Or stick out? Would appreciate any insights and/or photos!
My 13-inch sticks out, bag looks distorted and will be very uncomfortable over shoulder. I would not recommend it.

I've been eyeing the Chanel 22 small size for quite some time but am not sure if it's worth getting. I know when the bag was initially released, a lot of people had issues with the leather especially where it rubs against the chains and have seen people's hardwares (particularly the letters) falling off. I believe they may have made some improvements since then but wanted what are people's thoughts after owning bag and if they recommend it or not!

If I do pull the trigger, I am thinking of getting it in black with silver hardware as less likely to get color transfer however also would like to hear people who own it in lighter colors if they have had issues with color transfers and what not.

I'm located in Australia so options aren't that much in terms of stock (and secondhand)! Thank you!
Chanel 22 is my favourite bag ..it’s the most user friendly relaxed cool bag …I’ve worn mine almost everyday to work for past 2 yrs and rotate between the khaki green and grass green versions …. I’m thinking I need another in black as it looks a bit smarter in black and would match with everything …and I dont have any black bag in my collection

Small size is good but I prefer the slouchy look of the medium size on me :)

I am so torn between small vs medium. I am 5'4. I have Coach Brooklyn 39 which is similar size as the 22 medium, but it's really big and I can never find stuff inside LOL... which one did you pick and why?
You can go for the small then? Style wise they are very similar! I have two small, black and white, and use them all the time. I tried the medium, found it too big on me and I didn’t need the extra space (I won’t carry too much or heavy things in shoulder bags, only in tote bags). Also medium is slightly more pricey.

I have been thinking about adding a chanel mini 22 to my collection for months now but the only thing that is holding me back is the fact that there’s no zip 😭 Without the zip, do you feel secure carrying the bag? Is it easy to scrunch the bag?

Hi, it depends on which collection that you are thinking about getting your mini 22, there were a few that came with magnetic closure. I have two that did not come with magnetic closure; however, I purchased magnets and inserted them for my bags. Hopefully this will help you.

Hi, I previously owned two 22 Mini bags, but unfortunately, neither worked out for me. There were two main issues. First, the straps on mine weren’t removable, which limited how I could wear them. Second, as you pointed out, the bag doesn’t have a true closure. When not fully scrunched, the top remained open and everything inside was visible, it just looked sloppy and unfinished. I shortened the strap, since it was too long for me, by tying it inside the bag with a small adjustment ring. But because the bag stayed open, I really disliked looking down and seeing the visible mess where the strap was tied. It just didn’t look neat or polished. While scrunching helped somewhat, I didn’t like how the bag looked worn cross-body that way, and I was also concerned that repeated scrunching might eventually damage the leather edges where the chain enters the bag. I wasn’t too worried about security since the bag sits in front of you when worn cross-body, but realistically, someone could still easily slip a hand inside.

I’ve never heard of the 22 minis coming out with any type of closure, as mentioned in the comment above, if they did, I’d probably reconsider and get one again.

Thank you both for the insights! I didn’t know that certain mini 22s come with magnetic closure! What collections were they from?

Also, with the new version of chanel 22 mini where the long strap can be detachable, does that change your mind to repurchase the bag? I’m waiting for the right colour or perhaps just settle for black once I am ready tp purchase.

Medium as I like the more slouchy look and I use a bag organiser so I can find everything :)

I bought my third Chanel 22 medium size black caviar finish and it’s gorgeous . I think this will be my last Chanel 22 bag as i have a colour fir every occasion lol
