I just bought a white mini, it's scrumptious smooth calfskin! I will be carrying it a lot this spring summer, so I can't comment on the wear yet, but the leather is divine imo.

Had a hard time deciding between the light grey small 22 and the black medium 22. Went for the black one because i want to use it as my everyday bag.

So i bought the 22 in black, medium size, 2 days ago. I wanted to use it today and noticed that the leather is already cracking on one side at the stitching So disappointing!

That is so disappointing and you should take it back to the store. I use mine a lot and there's no peeling/cracks after 1.5 year.

Hey everyone, I’m a longtime reader and a fairly new poster. I thought I could contribute to this forum and the quality issues. So I got one of the first 22 bags that came out. It was the lilac purple last year. And it has held up fairly well but I have noticed wear and tear in the loops like a lot of you have posted. Fast forward to today at The boutique and I’m looking at black 22s and they are much much thicker leather than my purple 22. I’ve seen a few people post that they think that the reason some bags get more wear and tear than others is because some are just made of thinner leathers than others. And after picking up my new black 22 today, I have to agree with that theory. The leather feels almost twice as thick to me , so so supple and luxurious. I’ll post some photos when I unboxed it in the next couple days. I’d love to know if anyone else had a similar experience. . Oh and also, I’m wondering if Chanel has made tweeks to this bag because of the quality issues since the leather seems so dramatically thicker?? What do you all think about that?

I just bought a Chanel 22 in April 2025 having bought one in early 2024. The leather is noticeably thicker and more luxurious compared to the first one I bought. Also with the first one the inside pocket indentation showed through the back of the bag. I sometimes like to turn the bag around to hide the logo if I’m somewhere I don’t feel safe and so I’m happy this one doesn’t have the pocket issue. I actually ended up buying the exact same bag I had before (black shiny calfskin) due to the quality of the leather being noticeably superior and my older bag looking tired, the leather dulled and just feeling thin. I’m so happy with this new bag it’s shockingly thicker. I think it does go to show that you should should shop around for the best leather. I was also shown a shinier version from a later collection but for me the more matte leather is thicker and more luxurious.

Hi everyone! I'm considering adding the Chanel 22 in the small size and was curious if anyone has used it to carry a 14-inch laptop. I don’t need to bring a laptop often, but I’d love to have the option when needed.
Would the laptop fit comfortably? Or stick out? Would appreciate any insights and/or photos!
