Hi All! I got a Chanel 22 small from Italy.. however, I noticed that the leather of the black bag that I got is not in the regular smooth shiny calfskin.. looks like a regular/aged calfskin. Does anybody know if this is produced in the US as well or if this is a seasonal item? Thank you!

Post a picture. Is it shiny glazed? There are some from the latest collection that are shinier than the regular smooth leather.

I have a Chanel 22 in small burgundy calfskin which I love and used about 10 times however have just noticed the rubbing and some peeling where the chains rub on the loop area. This was a summer 2023 calfskin version and now I’m concerned about using the ecru/ off white colour and wonder if I should just sell this on….would love to hear thoughts!

I have a metallic pink and have rubbing too where the chains rub. Is there anything we can do to protect our bags from further damage?

I purchased these and found it helpful to protect the bag from rubbing. After a few weeks of use, I can see rubbing on the protectors from the chain versus the bag. I’ve seen less expensive protectors on other websites, but I’ve been happy with these. Good luck.IMG_0535.png

Hi all! I m going to buy preloved Chanel 22 in size small with the original bill dated Oct 2024. But the measurements are 11.8x 12.2 x 3.1in :hrmm: I m confused.. Chanel website says it must be 13.8 x 14.6 x 2.8in Any ideas?:confused1:

Sorry to hear about your bag. I read a ton of reviews of the 22 before I purchased my small 22, so I was well aware of rubbing issues. I am admittedly hyper vigilant about that issue so I check to make sure the protectors are in place after a couple of days of continuous use and find that the protectors can sometimes move. When that occurs I simply reposition them.

Thank you! Thankfully they have them in my color…Sakura. Yay. Hopefully, this stops the rubbing in its tracks.
