The 22 may carry more but the more you put in it, the heavier it'll get. I don't think that the relatively thin chains will feel that comfortable when the bag starts filling up (even if it has leather woven in, it's still metal).
Since you're a busy mom, are you willing to pull open and pull close that draw string every time you take things out or put things in? If you're okay with leaving the bag open then I guess that's fine but it doesn't feel that secure/safe to me. And the more stuff you have in there, the easier it is for things to fall out.
In all honestly, it's a glorified drawstring bag, and many regular drawstring bags (made of synthetic materials or canvas/cotton with rope strings) take a lot of beating with putting in lots of items, pulling of the ropes and opening and closing the drawstring opening. I don't think that a soft leather bag will fair well when the chains pulled through the leather loops constantly.
As a fashion bag, the Chanel 22, with a few items, and carried in a loose casual way on the shoulder or by hand, it can look quite chic. But as a more practical bag for everyday use? I have my concerns/doubts.
