The size small in metallic navy finally arrived in my boutique, my SA didn’t even bother taking it out of the box it came in
It will be shipped to me. Will be using it to stash some change of clothes for work.
Oh my gosh me too! I ordered mine in small metallic navy today Through Nordstrom. Super excited as this will be my first Chanel bag.

I have used mine for two month now with a really heavy use and no issue.
I don’t know those bloggers and have no idea why their 22 have those problems or what they did to them.
In any case Chanel will take it back it if it has issues, so I am not worrying at all.

Initially, I really didn't care for it but now its my most used bag. I got the brown color, looking to add more colors.
Chanel design’s team need to do thorough QC before releasing a bag. Like all luxury fashion brands these days, they care more about aesthetics than other equally important qualities like durability and practicality (similar thing with shoes, brands care much more about aesthetics that they end up not caring about comfort hence painful shoes, but I digress)
The bag has a major design flaw where friction between the chain and the leather (it is real leather) is exacerbating and accelerating the wearing down of the surface layer of paint of the bags. But without this paint, Chanel would never be able to achieve those bright vibrant or metallic colors.
balenciaga (arena leather) and even Hermes use leather with a layer of paint to achieve certain colors. However, their bags don’t have something at constant contact and friction with the leather and therefore you don’t hear horror stories of the wearing down or cracking of the painted leather.
but IMO ultimately it doesn’t matter if Chanel uses painted leather or regular leather, because the constant friction of the chain and the leather will ultimately wear it down too, just to a fuzzy suede.
there are age old solutions of inhibiting the wearing down of leather due to friction by applying a layer of clear leather wax/cream, but I feel apprehensive doing this on such an expensive bag being that I shouldn’t have to put this type of effort to enjoy a bag and also knowing it can alter the sheen of the leather.
maybe Chanel can think of a solution in the future, but right now, if I get a 22, I’ll stick to colors like black even though it looks like a trash bag as its wear down is less noticeable.
this youtuber’s Birkin’s wore down its painted color merely due to friction from a tight dust bag, but that is the price you pay for these types of colors:

My metallic Blue 22 is in the rotation and it’s doing great thus far.... I think I need a black one...
I am very rough with my bag & yes I cinch mine. So far no issues. But I think in time the corners will have some wear because of the design. I believe most people who are having issues with their bags most likely bought it in metallic or iridescent, I tend to avoid those colors.

Mine is finally here. Looks sturdy enough but I agree, the corners will probably wear first. I still find it ugly 
but it’s perfect to store my work stuff so this one will be used heavily. The small is also not that big, that’s coming from someone who loves mini bags! Hope others are enjoying theirs.

this color is so special! I love how it's neutral but also unique in a way that it kinda stands out! Do you think the small is big enough for water bottle, light jacket, umbrella, and essentials (wallet, make up pouch, key phones and snack for kids lol)Mine is finally here.
