Cartier love bracelet resizing/reproduction options

It does apply to all jewelry, reproduction could be for re-sizing purposes or if your item is really beaten up.
You are right, the percentage is based on current retail.
I am not sure about what you should give in, but I know the new one you get will have the same serial code so I believe you keep the paperwork.
Any idea if they only resize to existing sizes or if it can be customized? As an example, resize a size 16 Love bracelet to a size 16.5 Vs a size 17?

Hello everyone! Could you please tell me how the payment for reproduction for a Cartier bracelet works? Do you need to pay 40% upfront or upon receiving the jewelry?
I had to pay 30% upfront. Others here mentioned having to pay 40%, I'm not sure if it's just the SA's decision or if it's based on your spend with the brand.

I decided to have a reproduction made of my Cartier bracelet (I currently have a size 17 bracelet, and I want a size 16). Initially, I sent an email to Cartier, and afterward, they contacted me by phone and told me that the reproduction would cost 40% of the bracelet's price. Today, I went to the boutique, and they told me the reproduction costs 60%. This is in Europe. The price of the bracelet today in Europe is €7,900 (approximately $8,300), and the reproduction costs €4,740 (around $5,000). In my opinion, that’s quite expensive. A strange situation – I was given two different pieces of information over the phone and in the boutique.

I would go to another boutique and ask about 30%. Like you know there's an option to do for 30% and you're just curious how long it would take etc... it doesn't hurt to try IMHO

In the USA, things are probably easier in this regard than in Europe. However, I’ve found a buyer for my bracelet. The buyer wants us to go to Cartier and complete the transaction there. I’m not sure if that’s possible or how the Cartier staff will react to it.

Hi everyone,

I've recently purchased a love bracelet, first regular, but wasn't satisfied with the fit and exchanged it for small with diamonds. After wearing it for a month I feel like I made a mistake with the size and should have gotten one size up. I called the boutique to check what the options were and wanted to share here, since I haven't seen this information anywhere on the forum.
1. Love bracelets cannot be resized, no matter plain or with diamonds. All of you probably already knew, this part, so stating it here for newcomers to the love line.
2. The second point is the interesting option that I didn't know about! Cartier can take your bracelet and make you a completely new bracelet in a different size for 60% of the price.
I know it's not ideal, but I'm really glad this option exists. I'm not sure I feel comfortable dealing with selling such an expensive item on Poshmark and other resellers charge such a high commission that 60% might not be bad. [Please do tell me if you know where to safely resell without high commission.]
I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, but wanted to share here in case someone is in the same situation wanting to resize.
Would they remake if you wanted to add stones as a custom order?
