Hmmmm. I have a MWT never full. I have been using it more than you but it sat unused the whole summer (I’m a teacher). I got it in April. The straps are all frayed by the glazing... if consensus is this is not normal I may be heading in too

Glad you had a great outcome! I have the same Neverfull with the Pivoine interior. I hope you come to like the pink just as much as I do, and that the glazing is better on this one.
No I didn’t. I have very little in mine as I always carry light. I have my phone, chap stick, keyless entry key and the small carry bag that comes with the purse which has my license and debit card. The worker at the store said the bag should be able to carry good amounts such as a laptop (not that I even have one) but said my straps were completely defective and the glaze should never do this.Did you put very heavy stuff inside? such as a laptop?
I would definitely get to a local store as the worker and manager said this shouldn’t happen and that is why they replaced the bag rather then me having to wait for 2 months for repair. The manager told me that my new replacement shouldn’t do this again but I definitely am still worried. She gave me her card if I have anymore problems. I hope you can get this issue taken care of!Hmmmm. I have a MWT never full. I have been using it more than you but it sat unused the whole summer (I’m a teacher). I got it in April. Cold hard truth is your bag’s wear is normal. Cold hard truth about LV returning OP’s bag under “defective” is that some SA’s are desperate enough to return bags under defective so they can sell a new one and make monthly goals. Sometimes this is caught by management, sometimes it’s not.I went in and they took some pictures for the repair specialist. Who I know already because the clip on my catogram card holder broke (and they are short on the piece atm). I’m also a bit miffed as I went in previously for my speedy as that is also recent and it looks frayed too like these pics along one chap and around the metal part of the handles (where it connects at the top of the chap). That’s pretty rough to have three of the four items I purchased this year looking shabby/needing repairs so soon.

There’s been multiple threads on this issue with people posting relatively new bags like yours and OP. Just solidifies the fact that this is how the glazing on the handles wear (they are the most touched part of the bag). I personally have 3 neverfulls and my handles look exactly like yours on all of them. Not a big deal to me but that’s just personal preference. However, you never know LV might still exchange it.. as I mentioned, a lot of different circumstances affect this decision. I guess what i’m trying to say is that it’s definitely still a normal occurrence (exchange or not). That makes me sad, because the fraying looks like the straps on a leather coach tote I used to use from 1995! That’s part of why I finally treated myself to a neverfull. I find it hard to believe that three months of use should leave it so scraggly and sad, and be considered normal and acceptable.

I was told from people on here and other sites the glaze peeling was “normal” but LV manager told me it is not and shouldn’t happen. But they did say if you live in areas with a lot of moisture that the bags tend to wear a lot faster. I definitely hope the store near you will at least repair the issue as they did for me!That makes me sad, because the fraying looks like the straps on a leather coach tote I used to use from 1995! Like I said, the LV store in Orlando FL both the sales person and store manager told me the glaze shouldn’t peel. But then again they also told me this is the first time they have seen a bag with handles that the glaze was peeling, so who knows what is truth. I was definitely happy they replaced the bag though. The manager said the glaze problem shouldn’t even happen after even 5 years of use. But again who knows. I feel from what I’ve seen that this happens and the bag is defective but the manager also said 9 times out of 10 people aren’t truthful of the use and storage of the bags and you can’t believe what people post online. Which I definitely understand their statement of that.Well that’s good to know. They can’t really just give me a new bag as mine is customized, I assume they might reglaze or something but it might not be worth it if it will just go back to this.
I will say the peeling on your glaze doesn’t appear to be bad. I mean it’s worth a shot to see what they tell you but mine was like gone after a few uses which again is not supposed to happen. I’ve already used my bag 8 days straight with zero wear and my last one after maybe 2 or 3 uses the glaze was peeling and cracking.Hmmmm. I have a MWT never full. The store manager is who exchanged my bag. The sales slip shows $1,340 returned and a replacement with a $0 total so not sure how this would help “monthly goals”. The sales associate wasn’t able to do an exchange as only the manager could so I was in the end being helped by the store manager as the sales person couldn’t help me.Cold hard truth is your bag’s wear is normal.
