Well that’s good to know. They can’t really just give me a new bag as mine is customized, I assume they might reglaze or something but it might not be worth it if it will just go back to this.
They can definitely reglaze it for you. I showed my SA photos of my bag and he also offered to send it away for reglazing. I was quoted $150 CAD for both handles but he did say he would put in a request to have it done for free since my bag was under a year old, but couldn't guarantee it. I decided to use the bag and let things progress, and change all the vachetta when it's needed so everything matches. My Neverfull is LE so they also can't just give me a new one.

Like I said, the LV store in Orlando FL both the sales person and store manager told me the glaze shouldn’t peel. But then again they also told me this is the first time they have seen a bag with handles that the glaze was peeling, so who knows what is truth. I was definitely happy they replaced the bag though. The manager said the glaze problem shouldn’t even happen after even 5 years of use. But again who knows. I feel from what I’ve seen that this happens and the bag is defective but the manager also said 9 times out of 10 people aren’t truthful of the use and storage of the bags and you can’t believe what people post online. Which I definitely understand their statement of that.

As for your bag I will assume if they are going to fix the problem they will replace your handles since your bag is custom. I really hope they help you! I was honestly too embarrassed to use my last bag due to how nasty the handles looked that I stopped using it for the month before it was replaced. I will say if they didn’t repair it I would probably not have been purchasing another product for LV. Not that this would have hurt LV but I definitely don’t want to pay for poor quality.

This is how I feel exactly! Or I will just stick to the resale market.

I will say the peeling on your glaze doesn’t appear to be bad. I mean it’s worth a shot to see what they tell you but mine was like gone after a few uses which again is not supposed to happen. I’ve already used my bag 8 days straight with zero wear and my last one after maybe 2 or 3 uses the glaze was peeling and cracking.

It’s more like it’s pilling and the little scragglies are what bother me the most - this was a 2k bag that’s 6 months old...without daily use. That’s ridiculous, and as I mentioned above, if that’s the LV standard I’m not comfortable buying anything more, at least not new!

The store manager is who exchanged my bag. The sales slip shows $1,340 returned and a replacement with a $0 total so not sure how this would help “monthly goals”. The sales associate wasn’t able to do an exchange as only the manager could so I was in the end being helped by the store manager as the sales person couldn’t help me.
I was an SA. It helps monthly goals because although you paid $0, the associate still gets credit for “selling” that bag. As I mentioned before, many circumstances influence the stores when providing exchanges.

I definitely get where you feel at a loss because you pay for quality and don’t expect to see wear like this at this fast of a rate! I was told this is normal by people on here but the store manager said absolutely not. I would definitely keep reaching out to LV or take your bag in if that is an option because for the price you pay I feel you should be satisfied with your item. I definitely was not before it was replaced! And I felt if LV didn’t do anything about it I probably wouldn’t purchase another item from them. Like I’ve said these bags are made to last and carry a lot so as a buyer you definitely expect good quality and not handles that are wearing so fast.

So I now have had my replacement NV for 1 month and it’s crazy to say that I have actually used this bag as an everyday bag since except on days I know it will rain. I am so glad I went into a LV store to have them help me on the glazing issues. There has been absolutely no flaking, wear or peeling of the glaze! I still can’t believe how awful my original NF’s glaze wore within 5 months of minimal use! I just wanted to share some photos of my replacement compared to my original posted pictures ❤️

The days I’m not using it, I keep in the sleeve and I’m the box. My home stays at 71 degrees and hasn’t been exposed to anything crazy I guess to say the least.
My mono NF was purchased over four years ago, I use it often, but I’ve never noticed any issues with the glazing. Also, I store mine in the sleeper bag, but I wouldn’t store it in the box also.

Just an update. So yesterday I went to the LV store in Orlando, FL and they told me my bag had multiple defects and even exchanged the bag that I’ve had since the end of April. They said my straps glaze should never do this and I guess they spotted a couple other things so I did walk out with a brand new NF. The only thing that I was sad about is that they did not have the Red lining like my original purchase and I ended up taking the “Pink” liner bag (not sure the color’s name).
Great! Glad it worked out for you. Congrats on your new NF!!! :P

My friend had the same issue she got a new bag. On that note, a bag I got in 2015 the glazing melted from the strap. They new it was an issue. It stained my brand new white pants. They gave me the choice of an exchange or credit. I got a brand new bag-$2500.

Hello!

This is my very first LV item and it has only been a little over one month and I’ve noticed some peeling on the print of my Zippy Coin Purse. Is this normal wear and tear? I’m worried that this might get worse over the years and this isn’t what I expect for a wallet with a price like this. Please help. Thank you!
