Cambridge Satchels

I love satchels but the Cambridge ones look so damn stiff. Satchels are classic though; I wouldn't worry about trends.

Personally I think bright colors work as a highlight no matter what the trend is as long as you don't over do it with the rest of the outfit. But I hope this trend stays for a while, as I love the satchels and girly bags aren't my thing!

Kate Spade had this bag before the CSC bags became popular on blogs and I wanted one then.

I found the style of the one I liked. They also came in pink, white, and yellow, but of course they're sold out because I think these were from the beginning of the year.

The Kate Spade bags are nice but the design does not pre-date the Cambridge satchels, which themselves are retro. I can remember kids at my primary school carrying these leather satchels. They were always tan. For some reason I never had one, but hankered for them years afterwards. Love satchels!

mine just arrived, i ordered from asos. they are ridiculously stiff. seriously limits what you can put inside. but i find they look really nice and the colors allow you to take a dip in the loud-colored bags pool without breaking the bank. also the bit that they use the good kind of leather.

i got the purple one, 14 inches. love it! i find though it's too short for me to use messenger style, i guess i'm too clunky.

I finally received my order.

I have to admit that they ended up answering my status queries within 3 business days. Then sometime last week, I received an email that my order had been dispatched. I ordered this on the night of the royal wedding, which was April 29? So its been a long wait. Id almost forgotten about it.

I am very happy with it though. I love the bright neon yellow and especially love the embossing so it feels extra personal.

Please excuse the photo quality, ive had to take this with my iphone and this is no way shows the true colour, its the crappy lighting as its night time here. Im hoping to do some action shot when I finally use her.

Has anyone else received theirs? Id love to see some pics.

I purchased 1 Cambridge Satchel in Pink 14" and I'm loving it. However the strap where it opens and closes the bag has some peeling leather, is it normal?

I've got one awhile ago. I discovered one day that you really have to make sure that the bag doesn't get wet! The 'paint' sorta starts getting bubbly, and lifts up if you even touch it.
I called them to ask for a refund/exchange, but they were pretty rude about it, saying that since I've got it embossed, there's nothing they could do.
I'm not sure the lifting/peeling issue is only for my bag. Just thought I'd put it out there!

I jst got 14' green cambridge company satchel this morning after 50 days waiting ... I got say I luv them in the first sight , def useful in daily like for school , and the price is reasonable

I like them but they look funny on me. So I just admire it on others.

I think it's just another trend. But I can't tell how long the trend will stay. If you love it and want one, why not? But if you just want it to be on trend, don't get it.

I got Cambridge satchel over a year ago but have only been wearing it couple of times. It's a bit too structured and way too stiff for my taste.
