First one i saw was this one as revealed by a lovely lady from the UK: http://forum.purseblog.com/handbags...reveal-not-very-expensive-one-tho-677840.html

And now i am beginning to notice ladies in "the wardrobe" section buying them, wonder if this is where they were introduced to this company...?

Anyways, they are totally not my thing but i can appreciate them on others, not great regarding the communication problems though...

Platinum_girly, I remember that lovely UK lady with the Cambridge Satchel. I think it was a cute shade of pink. Those particular (stiff) satchels aren't really my thing either, although I love bags like the Proenza and other soft satchels. It's just as well I didn't fall into an expensive Mulberry Alexa trap, because today I went into town with a different soft satchel I bought recently. Honestly, it was a pain to get in and out of with the magnetic clasps that never seemed to align quite as they should. It was a nightmare waiting to pay for things in shops. As soon as I got back home I switched my stuff straight into my Anthra Bal Twiggy. Lesson learned!

I was introduced to Cambridge back in the 90's while I was going to school in the UK... However the new neon colors caught my eye after seeing them in Vogue or some other fashion magazine...

Actually, I still have my brown batchel from school, it's got all kinds of spills and scrapes on it

Yeah, Cambridge satchels have been around for years! I also still have one (tan) from cambridge that my mom bought for me when I was starting high school!

These are so cute!

Kate Spade has an extremely similar bag out now. When I first saw one of these bags it I thought it was a Kate Spade at first, but then it looked too big, and I discovered it was this brand.

I ordered an 11" neon yellow and im still waiting for it. I did order it during the easter break, I think it was 24th April.

Spot on about the communication. I only heard back from them yesterday. But they are still yet to reply to status of the order question. I know they tell you to wait 3 weeks to make the bag if they dont already have it in stock. But I think once you part with the money and they have it, they should at least have the courtesy to answer your queries. I dont know, maybe im expecting too much from customer service these days.

I cant wait to get mine. Ive been stalking the mailbox at work for a package. But during the whole easter and royal wedding shenanigans, I think they were closed and only opened again on 3rd May. So I might have to wait much longer for the bag and possibly longer for a reply.

I have always loved the look of traditional school satchels, through nostagia. A lot of my bags are satchels, but not of the school type. Recently though, I took the plunge and bought a couple of leather Warehouse satchels. They both looked lovely but now I'm having a bit of buyer's remorse. One of the satchels is pretty heavy, the other lighter. They both have magnetic fasteners and both are real faffs to get in and out of. I'm very glad I didn't buy a Mulberry Alexa instead. Although Mulberry is a premier brand I've heard ladies complaining about those magnetic poppers. I'd say a lot of satchels of that type have similar probs in common, regardless of the price.

Their customer service is horrible. I also expected them to at least email and let me know where they were with my order. When I did get in touch 2 weeks after I paid and no contact, the lady was rather rude and told me the bags are hand made so they a while. Surely an email saying bear with us would suffice? When they despatch your bag, you will get your bag though.
