Happy Sunday to all.

Has anyone ordered from either of these two US based websites? Prices are good.

Looking to get a satchel of this type, doesn't have to be handmade for me, it will just be an occasional fun bag so I don't want to get heavily invested in it.

How do you know they are US based? I don't see that info anywhere. Just because the prices are in US currency doesn't mean they are US based. I see they use EMS which is not a carrier used within the US. These sites do not look legit to me and use the authentic Cambridge's site images...not a good thing. Be careful because I've seen a few that claim to be Cambridge and they are not. You're better off getting yourself a 2nd hand Cambridge from Ebay (make sure to compare pics to those on www.cambridgesatchel.co.uk/ ONLY), a Bohemia satchel (www.bohemiadesign.co.uk/bohemia-m1) or a Zatchel (http://www.zatchels.com/green-leather-satchel.html)...prices are around the same but for a bag like this you're better off just getting one in a color you love and will get lots of use out of rather than buying from these shoddy sites (which mind you, has not so great prices compared to these other legit sites). I had a bad experience with one on Ebay, which was coming from China, and boy did I learn a lesson. The product I got was totally different than the pics which were mixed (they were using both pics of their product and Cambridge's). They listed the bag as a "Cambridge" satchel too when it should have been listed as a mediocre satchel. To an untrained eye the bag looked nice and the price was cheaper but in the end I got a piece of gunk. I've reported them to Ebay and have filed for a statement of non-authenticity and hope to get my money back soon but not everyone may be so lucky. I don't want to go through this trouble again, which is why I can only tell you to be cautious, because there are bad imitations out there. I don't know what color you're looking for but here are two on Ebay that look legit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAMBRIDGE-S...916?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item43aefb51e4

Thanks for the insight, bag lover. I won't use eBay ever again, though. Had some credit card fraud through eBay and now won't touch them.

Yes, I was assuming that the sites were US based because of the currency. Just trying to avoid duty/customs hassle and fees.

Gets a little confusing about this style bag: some prefer the bags from Cambridge, one post said the quality of the Zatchel was better. And what about the quality from Bohemia?

Are there any sellers of authentic bags in the US? By authentic, I mean a good quality, well-made leather satchel in this style or an authorized reseller for the UK producers of these bags?

Thats too bad because I've had two great experiences out of three on Ebay with these bags and overall my experience has been great with everything else. As far as I know this style bag originated in the UK so I don't know that they are made or sold in the US (except for Bloomies, JCrew and Shopbop but I believe they all get 'em from the same place). You can try Jcrew but at one point they were sold out. I have all three I would say Cambridge and Satchels are the best quality and Bohemia is third best. I had a faulty one from Bohemia (a non neon - its like a light brown) but their customer service is extraordinary and they've agreed to send me a new one at no charge plus free shipping both ways. Can't beat that! There is another place I have not ordered from (http://www.tombrownssatchelsoxford.com/index.php?oscsid=r135hgcgn2a7akstjviu5na4t3) but I've never purchased from them. Unfortunately, it might be a little more difficult for you given your criteria but I say don't give up and keep searching. Just remember to watch out for those dodgy sites. If you get one be sure to share :p

PS Here is the one from jcrew.com -- http://www.jcrew.com/girls_category...~all~mode+matchallany~~~~~cambridge/54431.jsp

you can also buy them from http://www.retrosatchels.com, they are leather, hand-made in England, with great customer service and you won't have to wait for your satchel.

Can anyone show photos of what fits inside an 11"? TIA!

Yes please I would love to see that too. I also want to see what the interior looks like. Is it lined or unlined?

Thanks!

Ok, so here is my recently acquired 11" Cambridge satchel in the neon orange which most of you have already seen. If my wallet were half the size I would be able to comfortably fit my eyeglass case. Note, there is no room for a make-up case so I would have to put just my lipstick in the front pocket where I have my iphone. As you can see its only good for the necessary stuff and obviously the smaller your stuff is the more you can fit. Hope this helps!

P.S. 2nd to last pic is with the wallet and eyeglass case wedged in (a little too tight) and the last pick is just for overall size comparison (left: neon green - Bohemia 12.5"; middle: neon pink - Bohemia 14"; right: neon orange - Cambridge 11").

These photos are soo helpful! I love the look of the 11" but the 13" might be more practical. As much as I would like to be an essentials only girl, that rarely works for me. I just carry too much stuff.:)

Thank you! Do you feel that you could fit a bit more in there if you needed to? I just wonder if it would stretch out a bit over time. The color is amazing!
