sorry if this has been mentioned already, but bloomie's sells cambridge satchels now. :smile1: plus, you can use coupons on them!

here's mine (11 inch), also a shot with a MJ quilted zip clutch inside.

Wow! Thanks for that. I have been dying to get a look inside. Now.. To decide between the 11 and 13. So it does not expand a lot it is thin, which is nice!

I think I can tell.. The inside of the bag it is NoT lined correct?

Thank you for the photos! LVoe your wallet!!! :-) and iPhone.. I adore my iPhone!!!

Thanks for sharing! Luv the yellow...cannot wait to get mine :smile1:
no problem! happy to help. :smile1:
These photos are soo helpful! I love the look of the 11" but the 13" might be more practical. As much as I would like to be an essentials only girl, that rarely works for me. I just carry too much stuff.:)
the 11 inch is definitely an essentials only type of bag. it doesn't really stretch or flex, so i can only carry a wallet, phone, keys, lip balm, kleenex, and a few small things like that.

no, the bag is not lined inside. it also doesn't flex or expand much. it's super stiff, which is nice for holding its cute shape, but not so nice when you want to carry more stuff.

i'm THRILLED with the satchel for it's fun factor. it's a bit inconvenient though in terms of the buckles, so i simply slide the straps through the buckles, but i don't actually close it. does that make sense?

btw, bloomie's sells them in-store and online. :smile1:

I have been eyeing them all day! I looked at bloomies and they do not have them online. Mod cloth had them but sold out. I just told my hubby that I wanted a purple one for mothers day with either my initials or my daughters on the bag. I was thinking 11 at first but then worried it might be. Touch too small so now I am thinking 13 would be perfect. I love structure but like to have a little room to shuffle. Kwim?

bloomie's online does have them, but you have to keep checking back. i guess they run low on inventory and take them off the site? i noticed that back when i was looking for one. on some days, it would be on their site. other days, it wasn't. for example, around F&F time, they would have stock one day and not the next. when it is on their website, they typically offer the 13 inch in camel, brown and red. the 11 inch in neon yellow, orange, green, pink and their exclusive blue. HTH!

if you want a diff color and embossing, you might just have to order from cambridge satchel co directly.

btw, shopbop also carries them and it's 20% off right now, but they only have white and black.

i think i would probably order a 13 inch next time around, just so i can carry more stuff in it.

Nice!! I heard of their bloomies blue.. Wouldnt a Tiffany blue be cool?
I really want that purple it is so awesome!!

You have helped tons! I can see the white one being an 11 inch and using that just for small things and special events. Like a family picnic or some lunch / brunch thing. White would scare me for everyday. I know I want one and they seem so well made. I am confident I will love it. By any chance do you like Mulberry as well?

Thanks for all the helpful info!!!

i would have LOVED a tiffany blue! the bloomie's blue ended up being a bit too deep for me, so i returned it. glad this info is helping. :smile1:

i don't happen to own any mulberry bags. i'm a big MJ fan (along w/ bal and chanel). :p

tejasmama, the leather is SUPER stiff, so i'm not sure if that would bother you? if you want to use it everyday, i would definitely recommend a larger size, not the 11-inch. i love that i can wear it crossbody, so it's handsfree. the buckles are a slight annoyance, so i don't buckle them all the way. also, due to how stiff the leather is, if you stack stuff in your purse, be prepared to pull everything out to get to other stuff. i had my large wallet at the bottom, with keys, cell phone, etc on top. so when i needed my wallet, i had to pull almost everything else out first to get to my wallet. i think it's a bag you definitely need to plan for (ex: use a smaller wallet, have things in mini pouches, etc.).

that being said, i LOVE it whenever i do use it, since it's just so much fun and brings a smile to my face. :D

Thank you! Do you feel that you could fit a bit more in there if you needed to? I just wonder if it would stretch out a bit over time. The color is amazing!

Yeah, I feel like the 11" is just too small eventhough I don't carry much but from what you tell me I think you're better off with a 14". For me the 15" is too big - I have a hunter green Cambridge and I luv it but its a little on the big side. It all depends what you need to carry. Too bag you can't just find these bags in any store so you can try them on for size :weird: Let us know what you end up getting :D

Glad the pics were helpful  Btw, just shipped back my faulty brown satchel back to Bohemia...can't wait for my yellow neon replacement :smile1:

The Bloomies blue is def too dark for my taste. It looks like the 13 will give you more room to shuffle. I have a fun red purse like that and I have to stack it in such a way so it is easier to get things in and out so I understand. I do like that it is harder to get things in and out with the buckle because I have kids so I know when I take the time to do it I will not forget where things are!!!!! Lol

Just wondering if anyone has ordered from the.leathersatchel.co ??? I came across them when trying to find a review on zatchels vs cambridge leather co. and a blogger reviewed 4 different brands of satchels - leather satchel co being one of them.

Long story short - i ended up placing my order. The customer service has so far been very quick and prompt with everything. hopefully i'll receive it in the next few weeks. I ordered a custom made 12.5 inch satchel in red with contrast black stitching, a handle with removal shoulder strap and a shoulder pad, a deeper main compartment (in case i want to carry extra stuff like my camera), magnetic closures (hidden under the buckle) and embossing...

Cannot wait to receive it! I plan to use it for work - its also a 'test run' to see if I order a proper big business type satchel from there for my hubby. His will be boring safe black with a handle (magnetic closures as well though) but 15 inch and maybe custom made to be deeper. Apparently they can also do removable straps to convert it to a back pack for cyclists... i may look into that in for future purchases.

Would be interested to hear of anyone else's experiences of this brand of satchel. I remember reading that they use a softer leather, so if stiff leather is what you want then this is not the satchel for you.

Will try to post pics when I receive it!

Can anyone with the 15 inch satchel tell me how much they can fit in it or have modeling pics? Love these simple, beautiful bags and their price point and quality is awesome!

I just want to make sure it is the right fit for me. Thanks!
