Gorgeous! Is this Électrique?
Please don't let rainy conditions stop you - it's not as if it's a bag that would be open to the elements.
In a few months you won't think twice.
Vlad and Megs have asked many times that we use mobile web rather than the old tPF app.
Your Calvi is stunning!
Vlad has stated that the apps are maintained by a third party and for consistent experience to use mobile web. This is understandable as a small company can't do its own app dev. I find mobile web much easier.I am using the updated app on my iPhone. Do I delete and reinstall?
Thanks you
Hello,
I picked up this Calvi card holder from H.com. It’s red piment, in the madame calfskin. However, I was disappointed to see that the little notches where the leather folds aren’t aligned with each other. Also, the interior corners, near the notches are starting to curl up. Is this normal?
We don’t have a boutique in my state, so I have nothing to compare. I’m attaching photos, but I’m not sure if what I’m referring to will come across well in the photos... I’m not the best photographer. Lol
TIA

Am thinking of getting a calvi and using it for the 5ish cards I use daily, and leaving the rest in a larger wallet, for easy fast purse changes. Just curious if anyone has experience not putting 10+ cards in a calvi? Any issues with them sliding out?
. . .I now discovered the following:
1.) Chevre grain to me seems to look different horizontally from vertically, which to my eye seems to Impact the sheen. However, when Bastia or Calvi are produced, the craftsperson does not seem to use a special direction for vertical or horizontal. When the grain (to me it is sort of oval) is aligned horizontally, the Calvi has quite a disintive sheen, when it is vertically, the Calvi Looks matte and teh grain more pronounced. Has anyone experienced teh same?
2.) The Calvi with the sheen (which I prefer visually) is not as sturdy as the matte one or teh Bastia received (super sturdy and apparently grain aso aligned vertically). I have read a lot of the discussions about which leather is best for Calvi. While some People prefer Epsom for sturdiness, wear & tear, other clealy prefer Chevre. So my questions is: How important is it that a Chevre Calvi is sturdy to begin with?
TIA
