I have white caviar I have had no problems with it. I did have white lambskin in the past a nightmare to keep clean. I have white caviar for frequent use and a lamb flap for once in a while use.

I love the white cav flap. I use luvinmybags cream protectant on it. The baby wipes works to clean it and the cream protectant provides an invisible barrier against staining. It saved the purse when ink from a biz card rubbed onto the back pocket. Came right off with a little rubbing.

White is such a refreshing color to see during the summer!

I have worn white caviar and white lambskin. I haven't had any problems with color transfer. Just remember when you get a new pair of jeans (any colour), wash it before you wear it. And if it has really really dark dye, then it's a no no.

I have a white Diamond stitch flap and i havent had a problem but i dont use it that often. I hear the caviar jumbo WILL yellow over time (From Chanel SA's)

White caviar's pretty easy to maintain; I have a white jumbo and even though I do baby it (as I do all my bags), I'm not overly careful to the point where I don't enjoy using my bags. And yes, I've heard that it will yellow over time, but if it does happen, I'm sure Chanel will probably be able to redye it! If you really love it, you should get it!

I think the problem with the glue turning yellow has to do with which climate zone you live in. In dryer areas, I think the glue will take much longer to yellow than a humid zone. I'm pretty anal about my bags. I never let any of them sit in the sun too long. Even when I'm driving (as that is all that we do in S. Cal), I put a jacket over it or make sure it is in the right side of the car where the shade is. With all bags, this will help keep it clean.

When we spend that much $ on a bag, I think paying extra attention the bag is relative.

I think white is fabulous. I would use whites and just be selective about where to take it. We should ENJOY them!

i'd like to know too. BTW...for those who own white caviar, have you noticed any color transfer specially from jeans or darker colored items? thanks.
i've had a white caviar gst for almostt 2 years, i only wear her in spring/summer but i wear lots of jeans and have had no color transfer...the patent leather will be impossible to remove color transfer once it happens, and on caviar you can use apple care conditioner, baby wipes with no alcohol, even warm water to clean it...but patent bags are too risky for me...i jsut cannot carry a bag that i have to worry about and baby! i swear, chanel caviar leather could make it through a nuclear explosion, it is so tough!:graucho:
