I have the red caviar jumbo new chain
and as dark as the red is- I still get color transfer on the back of my bag from whatever I wear- its driving me crazy- I am making sure I wipe it down everytime i put her down for the evening- dont want it to stain permanently..

I have a white caviar jumbo that I use daily and I have nothing transferred on the back. And I have worn dark jeans with it. I did spray Wilson's spray on it before wearing it. Maybe that helped.

I am a white bag convert now as well and have one chanel and one bbag in white. Lovinmybags website has wonderful protectors that I have used on white and light color bags. I recommend those products--very gently but work!
Enjoy your white bag!! :)

I have a white caviar jumbo and it was a little dirty in the back but my SA cleaned it up for me yesterday. Aside from the normal wear and tear its perfect :smile1: I haven't pre-treated it, but whenever my SA sees me wearing it she'll take it in the back to clean and put this other thing on it, really helps!

Also I've heard that its not expensive to have the bag redyed if needed :smile1:

Do you know what she used to clean it in the back? I heard they use Coach cleaner.

I just try some Coach cleaner on the straps to remove light grey marks & they come right off without damaging the leather. I will just leave the leather the way it is; I just have to be careful when I use it.

I called the Chanel boutique in Canada & was told that white leather is already pre-treated so they don't recommend anything on it. Also, I was told that they won't take the bag in to clean it or re-dye it even though I have the receipt. :confused1: & that white bag is always problematic. It seems like the Chanel boutiques in the States have better customer service than the ones in CAnada.

Beautylicious: I will try to post pictures this weekend. ;)
Rocherchic: I love this white bag. The leather seems to be very durable & it seems like the white color will not rub off easily. (I only have 1 other white bag...a Cole haan & the leather is nothing compare to the Chanel one even though both of them are calfskin. The Chanel one seem to be so durable) I always want to try the "For Handle Only" cream from Lovingmybags website.

Years back I had a white lambskin bucket style bag. When it got dirty I took it to Chanel to be cleaned/redyed/refurbished. They stated they do not redye white bags. I'd love to know whether this is still true. There is also nothing they can do to refurbished fabric bags either.

I have not treated my white caviar classic flap - but so far so good....though I have had many other designer white bags pick up blue jean transfer....so it concerns me.....thanks ladies for posting the various products to try.......

I'm hesitating on whether or not to purchase an ivory bag.

The main issue in my experience, every white or even off white bag turns yellow after time. And that's not even taking into consideration the colour transfer risk and the fact that its easy to get stains on.

Do you white purse owners experience this? Or is it just due to the climate I'm in? It's hot and humid 365 days where I am.

I don't want to spend 2k on a white Chanel bag that will turn yellow in 6 months. I just want a timeless Chanel that is not black. :push:
