I have been dealing with fashionphile for years without issue. Ever since I started returning things to the New York location, which is the location closest to where I live, umm not so much. Last week, I sold back two items that I purchased from them, mini pochette empreinte and Neverfull GM. Guess which one was “lost” or “misplaced” or most likely stolen? Yup the Neverfull. The refund process from receipt is 5 business days. They opened the package the day after it was received, processed the mini pochette, and apparently the Neverfull GM was not processed. I thought it was odd and lo and behold, they have to do an investigation to locate it. Thank God I kept the UPS drop off receipt which reflects the weight of the box. After this investigation is over, I’m done with Fashionphile Forever..
I’m glad you mentioned the weight shown on your receipt. FP labels I’ve printed off the last few months showed a weight of 1 pound, regardless how heavy the box has been. When I asked the UPS clerk to show the correct weight on my receipt she said she had to go by whatever was on the FP label. I got the same response from different UPS clerks on 2 different occasions. I’m wondering if you or anyone else has encountered this.

Honestly, I never paid attention to the actual weight before and if it matched on the label. The weight on the drop off receipt reflected 3 lb 4.9 oz. Thank God. If I opened a 12x16 inch box and saw just a mini pochette, I’d be a little suspicious but maybe that’s just me. Next time, I’m going to make it a habit of putting the shipping label on the seam (tape) instead of the corner like I used to.

I had some items stolen also awhile back. I used FedEx and they were able to get the weights for me from their records along the way, so perhaps FedEx is the better shipping method to select if possible. I contacted Fashionphile when I saw the package should have been delivered via tracking but no update from them for over a week. Fashionphile launched "an investigation" and paid me for my items about a month later, but that is all that I know. I say that they were stolen, but that is just my best guess.

Definitely using FedEx going forward.

It doesn’t make any sense how they are charging retail price for some items that are available on the retailers website. It seems that most people would rather have a brand new item directly from the retailer than a used item for the same price? What is driving this? The item in question is a Cartier piece.

Please someone help me I think I am having a heart attack. Fashionphile did not send me my order they sent me a nail filer!!!!!!!! I contacted them and told them this doesn't make sense I did not recieve my order I asked them if this was the correct order and tracking and address and they said yes and they would look into it. I tried to contact them several times and they would not answer or it would say they are in a meeting and I was told to press 4 because they are different departments. After 3 weeks I receive an email saying that the package was delivered and they will close this and not move forward. I never said the package was not delivered I said I didn't receive what I ordered!!!!! I even asked for the phone call which they sent where I stated I did not recieve my order but they are saying I said I didn't receive my package which I never said and at first I didn't hear the employee on the phone but I never said I didn't receive my package I said I didn't receive my item!!!! And this was after I started pressing option 1 and asking for a phone call back because no one answers and emailing multiple times thinking this is all a JOKE!!!!! I literally want to kill myself this is a lot of money either way even if it was a little money HOW CAN A COMPANY NOT SEND YOU YOUR ITEM BUT INSTEAD AN EMPTY BOX????????????????????????????????????????????????????? I have a heart condition I cannot deal with this please someone help me please someone help me I really don't feel good ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
FP will ALWAYS send a nail file with your order. It sounds to me like someone, somewhere opened your box & stole your treasure. At this point, I’d say you need to file a dispute with your cc.
I really need you to understand that your health is your #1 priority. There is not any single thing in this world, material-item wise that’s worth putting your health in danger for.
im hoping for this to be resolved in your favor. Keep us informed.

I’ve noticed recently they’ve been pricing some VCA items over retail that’s available for purchase via their website too. Strange.

I think it’s because some can’t get a credit card for the amount . This “Pay with Affirm” thing may have more relaxed criteria foe credit. Otherwise I have no idea why one woul buy a used item over retail.

Looks like the good old days of Fashionphile are a thing of the past. During the pandemic I both bought from and sold to Fashionphile and had very good experiences. I was able to book "virtual" online appointments and get reasonable offers within a few hours. Although it looks like one can still book a virtual appointment on Fashionphile's website, it's "virtually" impossible to do. This past year, however, Fashionphile's "offers" were pitiful and I've completely stopped doing business with this company.

My suggestion is to try Ann's Fabulous Finds. I have absolutely no connection to Ann's Fabulous Finds other than as a long-term very happy buyer and consignor. Ann mostly takes items on consignment rather than by "offer." If you're willing to consign, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better online consignment business. Ann and her highly trained staff are the gold standard of consignment, in my opinion.

For those of you who've been dealing with AFF, you've probably noticed that she retains her staff. No revolving door there. Items are handled with care, comprehensively photographed and well described, and communication with the consignor is prompt and thorough. Listing prices are realistic, and done in collaboration with the consignor. My only reason for "straying" to Fashionphile during the pandemic was for buyout offers. That bubble sure has burst!

Has anyone seen this post on Instagram?
Holy cow. A personal shopper who has no idea what he is presenting on. He talks about the Hermes and you can hear someone holding the camera whispering “rose jaiper” off camera. Painful and not professional

This is brutal, I had to turn it off after he said "Gucci Marmont Maltese" <-- a Maltese is a dog!! I think the word he was looking for was matelasse... I certainly wouldn't expect an average person to know this, or even other customer service reps at Fashionphile to know this, but it's embarrassing for a personal shopper specializing in designer handbags to mess that up. From the thread here, it does seem like the NYC location is the one with the most issues, and I'm not surprised based on this video.

Hey everyone! This just happened to me today and it has never happened before with FP! I ordered an lv item and it was delivered without my signature (of course). I first was confused because the box was opened from the button and was re-tapped with clear tape. The box itself was a little smashed. I didn’t think too much I thought this was a reused box. And I opened it, The lv box and dust bag was in there but NOT the bag. I was so bummed out! I don’t want to accuse anyone but I do feel this was done during transit. Who could’ve have access to packages while it’s in transit? I found 2 “suspicious points”. first, the tracking was showing delayed for one day right after it was entered the delivery system and second, the little white sticker used to sort the item within their system is ON THE TOP of the re-tapping.
I reached out to FP, I’m waiting for their investigation result. Does anyone know what would most likely to happen in my case? Will I get my money back via refund? I’m banging my head to the wall for not video tapping the unboxing, lol.
Thanks!

I am so sorry this happened to you. I had a somewhat similar experience, and I was reimbursed for the item, though it took some time for them to complete a full investigation.

I wouldn't usually post sensitive information on a public thread, but I have had two situations recently with them, though they are both a bit different. One was a pair of earrings for ~$15k that I shipped to consign with them; the package showed delivery but my selling page never updated. I called them and they launched an investigation, though clearly someone stole it along the way. I don't know if it was the shipping service or at Fashionphile. After about a month, Fashionphile paid me for the earrings, likely through their insurance plan. Now again, just today, I was wondering why a bracelet that I ordered on Friday, about $14k, had not yet shipped. I contacted customer service and they said that while looking for the item in order to ship it, it had gone missing and they cannot locate it. It definitely seems like someone is stealing items at Fashionphile, but I don't understand why this is still going on, as I'm sure that they have cameras everywhere.

omg. I’m so sorry that you’re experiencing these issues too! I’m surprised that FP couldn’t locate the item WITHIN their facility. That speaks something/someone is fishy. If that were the case we should all be pausing our purchases from them. Lol. I agree they should already have cameras everywhere. This is so frustrating! I hope they could find it and you would get it safely, or just cancel it. Lol.

Thank you, I'm sure it will work out in the end, but I am thinking about you and your stressful situation! Please let us know if you need any other suggestions or just to get some encouragement! I'm sure your case will be resolved; most likely what they will do is check the weights of your package as it went through different stops along the way. I am certain they will reimburse you eventually before you have to take things into your own hands with a credit card claim etc.

In my case, it did take about a month for reimbursement, but they used the weight of the package changing along the way to prove that the package that was sent was not the same as what was delivered.
