I made a big mistake.

I said I was done with FP. Then a rare capucines mini comes available on the site, one where only a handful were made so I pulled the trigger as I have been hunting for the last year on this bag

Item was shipped on Friday. Ups says they scanned it into their system on Friday afternoon…at a weight of 1 lb. It hasn’t been scanned since. When I try to track it, it says estimated delivery date will be calculated once item is in UPS possession. It’s been 5 days!!

Called FP and was told their default for weight is 1 lb. They rely on Ups to update the weight once it is scanned into their system. This process it ripe for fraud and theft IMO.

They don’t know where the bag is. They are going to “send to their investigation team”. This has bad news written all over it.

BTW- not from NYC, from Calabasas this time.
This is why I have switched to FedEx. When my local UPS informed me they no longer weigh packages with the weight printed on the shipping label the risks were more than I care to take. Always 1lb, plus it sometimes would take days for the package to be scanned and an expected delivery date to be posted. Even though I received everything I ordered I don’t need the worry. FedEx weighs my package(s) and the correct weight is printed on my receipt.

If it makes you feel any better I have had so so so many issues with UPS packages lately. Some scanned once and not updating for days. This one’s from another consignment site in NYC. Hasn’t updated since Sunday night. I feel your pain!

Life lesson- have a little faith and don’t immediately jump to the worse case scenario.

My package from FP never tracked and yet it showed up at my front door today, with everything it was supposed to have in it.

Annoying, yes. FP’s fault? No. UPS should have updated tracking on a high value package.

Anyway, wanted to provide an update. I am going to go take a chill pill now.

I'm so glad it showed up and you're happy! I don't blame you for worrying when a package doesn't get scanned and tracking doesn't get updated. As far as Fashionphile goes I'm more confident about buying than I am about selling to them. At least when you buy you have your credit card backing you up. If you send something to them to sell and it gets lost, well, then you can be out of luck.

That’s my mindset with them. I completely forgot that I could just make an appointment at their studio in Atlanta to sell off some items but their next appointment is in 2 weeks. I may try that route…

Did anyone have a positive experience selling directly in their studio?
 
I bought for the first time from FP a few weeks ago and had no problems. I had the option to choose signature delivery or delivery without signature. I chose without signature. If you are worried, you should choose signature.

My issue with FP is that the photos weren't accurate. The color is quite different IRL. I was disappointed when it arrived but after a few weeks, I like it. It would have been better if the photos were accurate.
 
Has anyone tried to schedule a virtual appointment recently? I’ve tried Countless dates, basically every day for a month and it says no appointments available On the selected date. Very odd.

I don’t see them buying much in recent months, lots of items are buy backs (re-list buy backs from old sold items), maybe that’s why they don’t have appointments open for schedule
