**Buying from Fashionphile** shopping experiences/questions

I’m trying to sell to fashionphile and have been waiting for quotes for over a week. Is this a typical turnaround time? In the meantime I’m fielding the lowball and shady offers I’m getting on Poshmark haha. I have quotes from The Real Real which I will end up taking if Fashionphile doesn’t come back with a reasonable offer. I just hate waiting in limbo. What are others’ experiences?
I would say your experience is normal as of the last 6 months. I sent in a bag 2.5 weeks ago. It was “received” 2 weeks ago and I got the “we received your package” (meaning it was checked in) yesterday. Just watch, I won’t get paid for 2 weeks. End to end, 1 month+

FP has been taking super long AND low-balling and/or refusing the item which is what they did to my brand new LV Carmel bag. They said they have too many. It took them about 8 days to get back to me. I wouldn't even entertain TRR. I sent them a USED FOR 1 DAY Tory Burch Radziwill bag on Feb 22. They take WEEKS to even list it so you probably wouldn't make the April payout anyway. My bag is still not listed. I checked the status and they had the condition ready to be listed at VERY GOOD, saying there was loss of shape. HUH?. I emailed customer service and told them I have a problem with that condition listing and I'm waiting to hear back. Couture USA out of Tampa is buying - I may send them pics of my bag.
Oh this is terrible to hear. TRR gave an okay estimate but I hate to hear how long it takes for it to finally post and sell. I’ll wait a little longer from FP.

Wow - very misleading. I understand the preloved market exploded but a month is a long turnaround time.

I just checked it again and it's "Under Review". I made it worse by disputing the condition but I don't care. I wasn't going to use it and I'm not that invested in it but they do take super long which is why I won't sell anything else with them.

They just don't have the staff - I think they are hanging on by a thread.
Yeah but thank goodness you outreached them because they should sell it in accurate condition and you should receive an appropriate amount. Ugh being short staffed is rough but they should be more upfront about the turnaround time. When it comes to people and customers, managing expectations is huge.

I’m going to just hold on to my stuff for now.

Yup about $800 for each piece. One is a toy Lou lou in excellent condition, lou lou backpack in like new condition and the other (which I already decided not to sell ) is a brand new black on black medium Lou camera bag. I can understand the backpack a little bit just because it’s discontinued and not popular but I’m most disturbed by the new medium camera bag. They are selling them for 1295--1595.

UPDATE FROM TRR: So I texted the "concierge" this morning about my bag being listed incorrectly, since I never heard back about the chat thread I had on Friday. She told me that it is being reviewed and from the pics she saw she agrees. She said they couldn't say NEW since I took tags off but could upgrade to excellent. So, timeline is TRR received it on Feb 20 and it was set to go live on March 12 but I disputed their listing. So I'm responsible for part of the delay and it may take 5 business days for them to render a decision. I know I won't send a true luxury bag to them for sure.

Same thing happened to me with my Gucci Marmount. Did not accept the bag as they had too many. TRR is very slow and the payout is not that good- at all. I think TRR is great if you are buying, but not selling. Plus, they changed their commission payout, on items...so confused. I was told they payout more for jewelry. I have some Dior Tribal earrings to sell, but I don't trust them. Nope, I will hold onto them or find somewhere else to sell them.

Yeah I sold a few Tiffany and co pieces and wish I did that through TRR but I wasn’t thinking. I’m going to hold out for a little longer to see if I can sell the backpack on eBay. It’s in like-new condition but I just splurged way too hard and something has to go. At the same time, if I sell to TRR or FP I’ll be taking a $450 hit on a bag I picked up like a month or so ago. Ouch! I don’t mind a $250 hit.

I've been there. It is soul crushing to realize that a mistake/whim purchase can be very costly. This is why I have slowed down my spending with the "premium" brands. The market is oversaturated with these goods... The resellers are able to get a great deal (I get they have their costs to ship, promote etc..), then they sell for current as new market price.
