New treatment coming for S/S 2012... A combination of Fuzzy, Mini Ponza and likely Rete. Can't wait to know more about it as well as the official treatment name.

It should be called "Cirripede". Does that first picture (especially towards the bottom), not remind you of barnacles?
Is the top layer done in a suede or nubuck?
Has BV ever done an all-suede intrecciato bag? I can't say that I've ever seen one.
I have a soft spot for suede Balenciagas and Hermes (not that I own any - yet)

Vivo Cervo - woven panels of cushiony, washed cervo are assembled and sewn in such a way that the seams have a relief effect that explores the elegance of the bag's shape. Notably, the interior has no lining and is made of lamb velour intrecciato, giving a remarkable, three dimensional quality to the piece. An extensive stitch detail is featured on most handles or certain parts of the bag's body depending on the style.

This specific treatment was only done on a Knot as well as jewelry from the S/S 2012 collection.

A metal mesh frame (rete means mesh/network in Italian) is manually filled with hand-colored enamel pieces to create a design. Colors on the Knot include Irish Green, Violet, Burnt Sun and Blood.

Intrecciojet - this takes the classic Marco Polo material (rubberized canvas) and applies an inkjet technique in the form of the intrecciato pattern adding depth and texture on the surface of the bag. Only available as part of the Travel collection starting F/W 2012.

This particular treatment was exclusively done on a very limited run of Lido bags from the F/W 2012 collection. It only comes in Gainsboro (pics below) and Teal. This also marks the first time BV uses cervo (deerskin) on this bag style. From how I see it, tubed fettuce are pulled to create a soft, spongy texture. Silver metal mesh is sewn in the middle of the exterior fettuce giving it an additional metallic luster on top of the pearlized metal effect they've applied on the base leather.

Exterior:

Interior: Reminiscent of the memory and nuvolato treatments.
