Beware of the super fakes

Thanks for the reassurance all of you! Ill have to pass on the comments to my mom. I agree that there is more satisfaction with owning authentic vs fake. I would rather have a good quality bag from an unknown designer instead of a replica for the same price.

Hi there again,

As I have shared my story with this super fake bag, story continues. I got my refund but, beware, seller Dina who sold me this superfake bag, is now selling the same in Vestiaire collective, removed sticker and card.

I already contacted VC, but this is very scary.

Lots of people will be very grateful for this heads up and once again shame on VC! Will never buy anything from them, I love though that ppl r not buying the generic 'this is authentic' rubbish they add to the listings when authenticity is queried. Hope u found urself a jumbo. Take care Xx

Thank you for you reply.

This is why I also told paypal I should never return this bag, because someone else will be scammed.

Hopefully vestiaire collective will investigate this. But they already removed my comment about this bags authenticity.. weird! Actually in VC I see a lot of these "private sales" classic bags, without stickers and cards, and many people have bought them. Do you know any detail about these famous sales privee?

Here's a puzzler. I have found what appears to be an amazing VERY vintage Chanel evening bag, possibly or probably pre-1970s. I decided to refer it to the lovely ladies at Etincelera, and...there verdict was 'inconclusive'! Whilst I fully appreciate their decision, naturally I'm left feeling disappointed the outcome wasn't 100% positive. There are so many things about the bag that suggest it's genuine, but.... I'm seeking out other opinions in London. I hear it's an option to take the bag to Chanel for their spa, to see if they accept it, but I have read that Chanel in the UK doesn't have this facility? Also it sounds like their SAs can be a bit difficult? Oh dear!

I was interested in seeing what was on eBay for sale, I was amazed at the number of "new" Chanel bag with tags etc. I wondered, that is so odd that so many people buy Chanel bags and then want to sell them? To me it makes no sense. So I started researching the websites of the super fakes. Amazing! I suggest that anyone that is considering a Chanel Internet purchase research pictures of super fakes. Now I can go on eBay and spot them a mile away. It used to be a seller with the cards and a sales receipt would be a good bet. Not anymore, all of that can be faked.

i bought a superfake in turkey on vacation and it came with a full set - box with barcode, card, receipt, tags, etc. and all for about $40. it was amazing to see what was going on. that being said, i have two of my bags with their original tags attached and if i sold them, they'd have the tags, and have never been used. it's quite common for a collector to never take a tag off. i sold a woc recently that had my Bloomingdale's tag on it - i had too many bags and never used that one. attaching a tag back with that little white plastic thing - EASY craft project, lol. i have no doubt people use a bag and reattach a tag to make it "new." you have to be careful with everything and just do your own homework when buying until you're satisfied.

That is absolutely crazy. I think Barney's and think superior merchandise/customer service. Very imtersting post.
I bought a designer bag from Barney's warehouse (their discounted site). The bag must have been left in direct sunlight for a year because the leather was horribly discolored on one side. I took pictures, emailed them and they took it back - but only gave store credit because Barney's warehouse is final sale. The customer service in this transaction was excellent but I'm not keen on Barney's in general.

The moment you walk in the SA's are checking you out. If you're not carrying a Birkin they ignore you. I asked an SA if the carry Loewe. I pronounced it Lo-weh-beh with a soft "B". That's the proper Castilian pronunciation. I know because I was in Spain.

Anyway the SA pauses, stiffens and asks, "do you mean LOWE?" pronounced as Lowes hardware store. I just looked at her and said "yes, its pronounced Lo-weh-beh". She just sniffed and said, "this all we have". What a snot.

I ended up buying something at the Goyard section with my store credit. I was friendly but I don't think that SA knew how to smile. Its was all very weird.

I was the victim of a fake this past month so I did a little digging to see how this could happen. I own 6 chanel bags all purchased directly form Chanel by me or my mother so I thought it would be somewhat easy to tell real from fake. I was wrong. I bought two pre-loved bags (my first used Chanels ever) and one turned out to be fake. A really good super fake. I thought I was knock-off proof when it came to Chanel. Now I know how I was fooled. I wanted to share the two links below so others would be more vigilant.

Be careful out there.
Oh my God, the part with the children just broke my heart. How can people be so cruel!!!???

Good Lord in heaven, me too, just broke my heart for those little helpless kids. They just wanted to be a kid for a little while and play. 😖😪😭😤😡 I will always remember this story whenever someone says it's okay to buy fakes and downs those who buy real bags. Just so wrong!!

Really have to give this thread a BUMP.

Buyers.. please listen carefully and study carefully..
IF IN DOUBT of anything, bags or watches.. just give it a MISS.. Don't buy it.

(this is something that I constantly need to remind myself too)
