Actually one of the things I hate about online ordering is when you pay for delivery but do not get a free return. These companies have accounts and can send for a fraction of the cost that we can. It costs £30 minimum to send a normal size BE handbag back, including the insurance, in it's original box. So that's £50 wasted if you don't like the bag.

So you did you get your RM delivery in the end? :laugh:

Yes I got the delivery slot with my Covet me (uPS) but it was only be of use of I can/could actually stay in during that time slot.. Luckily I was in on the day it was due so it wasn't a big hassle to wait in till 11am.... Generally I'm out and about during the day from 10-1 then out 3-4.. You know what, I
Looked at the Vermillion chèvre tote but decided against it cos I'm so OCD about my bags, if the corners of my bags get grubby/messed up it bugs me.. So yes I'm with you on that...

I'm just generally sceptical about couriers after a pair of Hermes boots ended up getting left under my car (!!) , a few years ago. Still waiting for the Paris but to be fair Jackie has been very helpful ...

I signed up for "my ups" at the same time I ordered my vermilion chevre Madrid - then found out I had to wait for an activation code to arrive in the post before I could use the service! Bag arrived when I was in however so no problem in the end.


I have been craving something in this colour for summer (was looking at the MM geranio but not sure if that is not a bit too pink) and love the bag - just not sure about the fastenings on the triple chain; they seem slightly unbalanced and I think I prefer the double chain I have on my chestnut shimmer Madrid with brass. I might try it with just the leather strap: as I am only 5' 1" I don't need a long strap on any bag. Please, no more about how difficult it is to keep clean though!

I will try to explain but it might be a bit difficult without a picture (I am currently 250 miles away from the bag!) - The clips which the chains are attached to at each end have a "D" ring attachment with the chains linked to the straight bit of the "D" if that makes sense - but the width of the straight bit is longer than the width of the 3 chains. So I find that when I wear the bag, the chains all slip into one corner of the "D" twisting the whole thing slightly - on my other Madrid, the clip has a round attachment so this doesn't happen.

Does anyone know if BE have an official closing date - or are they waiting until they sell out to close?
I have two bags on order, hopefully arriving tomorrow - so excited! But I am just curious about the rest of the stock. And the copenhagen rucksack for example isn't even reduced?!

I was wondering that myself. When I bought mine I thought that maybe they would start off with 50% off then keep reducing prices until everything is gone. But in case they didn't I bought a couple. What did you order?

it wasn't reduced before. but it is now i mentioned it!
i did the same as you as i wanted two bags and was scared there was low stock.
i bought the london tote in grey snakeprint and the cannes in chocolate brown. i am excited to receive both styles. I have heard such good reviews of the london tote and i love the zip top. i hope the snakeprint leather is as soft as my black new york tote! the cannes i just love the look of, especially the rolled handles which stay on my shoulder really well.
i might order another bag, but i would prefer to do this after pay day, so wondered what everyone else knew about the closing down timeline.

I had all three of those bags and they are all totally gorgeous. I think the London is slightly softer, more velvety than the ny tote. I wore out my London matte bag and just recently sold it. I sold my ny tote brand new because I didn't get on with the small handles. The Cannes I returned because I couldn't make brown work with any of my clothes. If I ever see a black or grey one for sale I would be so excited. It's the nicest, most comfortable bag I've ever seen. I think you're going to absolutely love what you've bought.

i am not sure what other colours cannes came in. I thought it only came in two shades of brown - the one on the web being the darker colour and i think the lighter was oak. but i could be wrong.
I like the new york tote a lot, the leather is almost squidy! if the london tote is as nice i will be thrilled. I like the shade of grey which is a perfect neutral. it reminds me of the old grey glossy, which is the most amazing neutral grey ever and makes everything look chic.
i always think cannes would have been gorgeous in black crash! but everything looked amazing in black crash LOL. what a leather that is!

I think the Cannes did come in black but I missed out, maybe they sold out quick. I also saw two shades of brown at the time but I bet there were a few bespokes done in other colours.

I'm a bit confused because I thought they only had brown snakeprint totes on the site not the grey. Did you manage to get one not listed, if you did you're very lucky [emoji6]

I had a wtm midi in black crash and I just gave it to my sister because at the time I felt it was too shiny. My appreciation of leather has matured since then lol.
