The paris is a very good price
I have bought a london tote in snake print leather in the larger size. I love bags with a zip
I was in selfridges on Thursday with my New York tote and ther was nothing like the leather or the quality available at a similar price point.
Over the years I have used my be bags the most. I have never had a bad one, just ones where the style wasn't as comfortable for me like the hug me. I Am sad be is closing but i did miss the days of brighter leather choices, and of course, more releases. I wish I had of bought a make me smile in a larger size as my petrol one from out forum bespoke is still going strong
I think my favourite styles are the love me, I have a large in fuschia glossy and small in purple glossy thanks to prada
I also adore the tme bags
I wonder how long the sale will go on for? I am tempted to buy another 1 or 2 bags and I am listing 2 bags to pay towards hopefully
I think on balance I'm swaying towards the Paris as my other 2 BEs are quite slouchy - Hug Me in black crash and Covet Me in black goatskin. My fave BE bags were the Enchant Me, Hog Me and Love Mes - I will however need to sell a couple of vintage LVs to fund another BE tho: I have a one in one out policy on my bags!
Hi Prada! Sorry don't know either Cannes nor Paris. Paris looks a bit heavy though..perhaps you might find some more bags you like on the Bay or the Bonz!.. Not only VanB got lovely bags from you , me too!
I'm pleased some of you ladies found bags you can use on the sale! Congrats to all of you!
I do miss the bespoke threads, our gift gatherings I don't recall what we called it, but remember a beautiful necklace from Contessa, a huge bunch of flowers from our Mod etc.,all the fun we had looking at the new season's bags and leathers! And so much much more.. I don't wish all this will be taken down, because we can still find it useful to check styles , or inform each other about bags put up for sale etc.
I will check in now and then , and hope to ' meet 'some of you from time to time!!

Agreed Bonnie - I was thinking the other day I really hope the BE forum continues because otherwise all the pics of bags and reference material will be lost... I was browsing the ref thread the other day and found pics of TMAs ( which is a style I had all but forgotten about!). I really hope there's still a place we can show our "new to us" bags as well.. ( just snagged VAnBods black Crash Hug Me off Bonanza!!) which I'm really looking forward to receiving and using. I used to have. Hug Me in black Crash which was one of the first BE bags I owned and I really regretted selling it later! I think a lot of the BE forum atmosphere when it was very active was due in part to the couture option with bags and we could all help and advise each other on styles/colours/linings/HW etc... I think that's why a lot of us felt let down with the way things changed @BE because we all put a lot of time, effort and thought into our BE bags and it wasn't as easy as just walking into a store and splurging a thousand dollars or so over the counter on a bag many other people have a near-replica of in other brands....
Which of course was really the crux of the problem when the communication stopped w customers about new styles,BEC etc. we had come to expect a level of interaction with the brand and when that stopped - for whatever reason - then quite rightly some people felt like their custom wasn't valued or retained.....sorry just my garbled thoughts!!

We did have a freindly tone and we could discuss and also disagree in a civil manner! No snipey remarks as far as I recall. As for BE interacting with the clients, or rather no interacting at all the past 3 yrs was for sure strange and cannot be excused! For me personally it had nothiing about being valued or so, it was just not proffesionel!Good for you to get the Hug me, from VanB ..a fine bag!

Thank you, I am looking forward to my Hug Me, in the end ordered the Paris Tote in choc brown veg from BE as I'm Looking for a holiday bag for this summer, and don't wAnt to risk either of my Hermes bags whilst travelling as they are natural colour canvas w Barenia trim and I'm too scared about marking them!!!
I don't mind if the Paris is a bit on the heavy side - my Mulberrys in Veg Tanned were really heavy, my Hermes Jypsiere is about 1400g empty ( !!!) and when I had my 40cm Kelly in Clemence leather that was like a workout on its own,,,,,,
Was just checking the BE customer photos and reviews before I bought my Paris, hardly Anything after 21012 at all, such a shame -as someone else said - that real women carrying their bags was such a plus point but it did seem to get shunted to a remote corner of the website...
As for the current BE customers, will be interested to see where you gate your bags from in future other than pre owned BE of course. My DH actUally really liked my BE bags and used to think that compared,to my Hermes bags they were very reasonably priced, ha. I guess it's all relative!

I only ever saw one review for the Paris and it was a red one. I returned a black one because I found it way too stiff, it just stood up on its own. Then I wished I had kept it, now I'm glad I didn't because I'm into small bags now. It does look great with all that hardware.
Have you tried www.marcomassaccesi.it for alternative bags. The SS15 bags are stunning, although a teensy bit big for me. Not too much hardware but he said he is working on it. I asked for some zips to be added to my Selene bag and he readily agreed no problem.
Yes I saw the review for the red one too although she said it softened up after use for 6 days or so...we will see what I think when it arrives,! I have a looked at Marcos website as one of the other ladies here mentioned it - I love the bags ( esp the hobo one, can't remember what it's called,) so will prob investigate them in future.. I feel a little like I need to get my last few purchases from BE out of my system before I can move on to another brand - to me BE feels like an errant Ex , ie, you had some good times in the past then moved on-even though you didn't want to at the time..... When they reappear you feel like you need to give them just one more chance to redeem themselves, LOL"""
This did make me laugh! I've sold and bought back several styles. In the end, I rather enjoyed buying pre-loved as someone else had done the work of softening the leather and the straps for me and generally, I got on better with some of the styles I had rejected once that process had happened.
Glad I made you laugh.... Brand loyalty is an odd thing indeed, the styles I mostly sold then wished I hadn't and went back to were the Hug Mes, TMEs and Hold Mes. I loved the Stroke Me but didn't like the way the seam rubbed against your clothing and got worn... The styles that worked less well for me was the Rock Me ( on me it was the size of a house, way too big,), also the thick handles on the Love Me kept slipping off my shoulder...
bTW there's a Root I'm beautiful midi on Bonanza if anyone's interested? I love this leather but even in the midi size wondering if it'd b too big for me. . ??? Someone please buy it before I cave in
