Being Banned From Coach Stores - Did You Read?

I think it's awful that Coach is doing this to it's loyal customers! I've never heard of a company punishing people for buying their goods! There has to be consistency in their policies. We hear of resellers buying ten of one item and no one blinking an eye and then we hear of customers banned for spending too much money--makes no sense what so ever!

Kelly - I cant believe this has happened to you! For anyone that does not know her - I know that Kelly IS NOT A RE SELLER - she is such a nice person and I am very pissed that she is banned. What the heck is wrong with them? She is keeping Coach in business.

I have not been into Coach like I used to be but every darn time I was in the Leesburg outlet there was a resellers in there and all the SA's ran around catering to them. I swear they were being treated better than the regular customers. And they ban the honest person! Coach is really going downhill.

^^Agree, Nancy!

I'm a Leesburg customer, too, and though I've never met Kelly, I'm stunned and sorry that this happened! I've always enjoyed your posts in the Leesburg Outlet thread!

I haven't shopped at Coach in several months, and your news just reinforces my desire to STAY AWAY.

Best of luck to you! :flowers:

Watch out ladies...I just received "the letter" (same as CA-Annonymous's) and I have never sold ANYTHING EVER of any kind. The manager actually seemed uncomfortable and sorry to hand it to me, so I think they are generated at the corporate level. In fact, she was kind of encouraging me to call the number on the letter. I told her that I'd heard of others trying that with no success. Guess it's time to find another habit/hobby. I'll be purchasing NON-Coach items for the many birthday, teacher, and graduation gifts I give. Knowing what they are doing to their loyal, non-reselling customers is making me seriously consider selling my 10,000+ shares of their stock I've owned for years.

I'm so sorry to hear that, mayhurst.
The letters are generated at the coorporate level, not just the store.

Wouldn't it be great if we could start some sort of campaign to get the word out that this is how Coach treats their most loyal and devoted customers?

has anyone tried to post what Coach is doing on coachs' facebook page or would they not allow it? just a thought or maybe twitter? I have coach credit that I will use and then I think maybe I'm done, this just sounds absurd.

Insane. How often were you in the store recently? I only go now about once a month at most... guess I should walk in and ask if I've got a letter too.

I just had the same thought...I haven't been to my outlet in a couple weeks so now I'm going to be nervous walking in!

This is all ridiculous. it sounds like maybe they have unfortunately banned a group of people and are getting the letters out now...

Wow that's just horrible! I guess there is a downside to living so close to an outlet. Coach seriously needs to reconsider this banning customers practice.

DAYUMMM gurl COH closed at $63.91 per share friday...

I think someone became very trigger happy at LP...or they hired someone who is trying to prove themselves. I was in Orlando today and visited both outlets and was floored to see people buying so much in bulk....the limits were not enforced.

Why would they limit it? It sounds like they welcome people who are buying in bulk, if there is a happy trigger finger for LP then the letter will come soon for them as well.

okay a little off topic but I'm watching the Hoarder episode now and a NWT Camel Gigi the consignment lady said she could sell for $200 or $250 in her shop (and Theresa only getting half). They need better "handbag specialists" who understand the true value of these bags...

I use Second Time Around for consignment (for clothing) and they only give their sellers 40%. So I'd love 50-50!

But I've gotten some great deals on authentic designer bags from them! I do feel bad for the sellers of those bags though.

Holy cow, Mayhurst I can't believe you got one too! This is really getting ridiculous what Coach is doing....I don't have any stock, but sounds like since you do, you might have an inside edge in contacting stockholders and could put a bug in someone's ear as to what Coach Corporate is doing.... I'm sorry this has happened to you too!!!:flowers:
