Being Banned From Coach Stores - Did You Read?

well, over buyers for profit IMO probably deserve to get banned. but lovers of coach!! no way. bag collectors, i dont think so. i know with the ecomony excess returns can flag loss prevention..

i love coach so much i would slit my wrists if they banned me.. (well, that is over the top dramatic)

i change my mind constantly.. *my bad* i went into the boutique yesterday with a Penelope Spectator Bag because it wasn't perfect. my SA's are awesome. they found the bag for me, JAX is sold out. and did an exchange. She even asked me, i will save this bag for you just incase the one you get isnt as good as this one.

i have been shopping at the boutique for two years. my fav SA's work there. i was carrying my Top Handle Black Legacy bag. and Jamie (the Store manager) showed me that bag a year ago, and i said.. "oh.. not me", then i end up with one a year later.. lol

ok, im chattering.. , Coach does make allowances for us girlies that love the bags and do exchanges to a point. my SA's always ask for my receipts. they know i have every single one and i all buy all my coach items for me. i even tell them on occasion i sell them to get new ones. they are like my coachie buds. even though i know i shouldn't they don't tell me i shouldn't.

but.. bottom line, i have had 100% great experience with Coach all around. well only one time i went to my regular boutique and there was a "fill in" manager that was hard to deal with. i think i got him in trouble. those Ladies know us regulars all by name.

but here is the weird part. ............ there is one company that didnt' go over so well with my girlie changing mind. Brighton. they do make beautiful bags, but i got a letter in the mail a year ago, i barely got started on collecting their bags, and they banned me "nationwide" because of so called excess exchanges. this company has been in business for i dont know 35 years? they are still doing well. and this is before the ecomony went wacko. So how much did they lose on me? pennies in a bucket compared to how many bags they sell a year.

i tried really hard to get over the ban, begged with the loss prevention department to take me back, wrote letters, emails..i even wrote the owner direclty. , i had 25 bags registered with that company. They refuse my service. i can't walk into a Brighton Store and buy a bottle of leather cleaner.

each store probably my picture is posted on their "most wanted list"

well, i ended up getting rid of almost every bag i owned by them. i just couldn't feel i can carry a Brighton Bag with pride and not remember the crappy letter and dreaded phone call i got from their LP manager. its like kick me out of their stores for loving thier bags??? huh?

i might have deserved it, maybe, but the SA's at the stores encouraged me to exchange bags i wasnt happy with. it was only a period of two months? (more to the story, but i think i wrote to much on this post as it is)

i have been buying coach and now Kate Spade "for me!!!" and they still treat me well. they just tell me, make sure you keep your receipt and the tag on the bag. because my girls know how picky i am , if a bag has one tiny flaw, the leather hide is not the same all the way around i will exchange it. hey i buy from F/P boutiques, (try to use my PCE cards) but if i pay $698 for a bag it better be perfect.

ok.... now i shout out I LOVE COACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:p

yes.... but had the new bumpie (ohhhhh i like that word!) started a new thread... she would have gotten her hand slapped and told to do a search and add the that post!

Thank you for saying that, stormi; I've been thinking the exact same thing for a while now! As I see it, we get the virtual b-slap for creating a new thread on an old topic (I frequently see "Do. A. Search. We've. Already. Discussed.") yet we also get the virtual b-slap for reviving an old thread.

Ugh, can't win. Yowza!

PS: totally love your new word. Bumpee. LOVE  IT!

I think there is a big difference between pumping a useful thread like this one and others like "Which one would you keep?", "Should I buy this?" when it's clear the OP has already made her decision as the thread is months old KWIM?

I am frustrated with Coach but find alot of others feeling the same and found the survey and I think if everyone participates it should help. I felt better when I was finished because I could tell that the survey may help me plus I would jump on any band wagon so that I could buy Coach without feeling guilty when I want more than one for someone else.

Gaylyn, PLEASE stop posting your link, you've had 2 threads locked already, so I think it's obvious that it's not the right place for it.

seeing as gaylyn bumped this thread i found it, lol...i read the whole thing and now i'm freaking out that i will get the letter. i just had a birthday and graduated from college (in dec, but my family is spread all over the country so we did a combined thing for my graduation, my b-day, my bro's b-day, and his upcoming hs grad) quite a few of my friends/family gave me coach gifts and some duplicated items, gave me stuff i didn't like, or gave me items i already owned so i ended up returning (well exchanging) them, most without receipts (probably 10 items total)...will i get this dreaded letter?

thanks! this is the only time i've done it (they didn't all give me receipts and i felt bad asking for one because then they'd know i was returning it)...this was all fp merchandise too, not outlet...i don't know if that makes a difference?

Well there is a member here that got limited to receipt only returns, and I think she did 7 returns w/o receipts and that triggered a letter from Coach. Maybe she will chime in on the details, but she has a thread in this forum somewhere. I think they were full-price items, but I'm not sure.

Well, Coach sends surveys to our clients from time to time. I happen to receive and participate on those, I always make sure I let them know what's on my mind. We can always email their CS too. :smile1:
