Very different ban. I was banned for excessive returns and exchanges.
For some odd reason I was thinking I only liked brighton. But I was dead wrong.
I perfer coach so much more.
So far I have had really good experience with coach. Although I don't go to outlets often because their so far away.

SA have nothing to do with banning, this info is tracked with the "Info" info that you give them. Based on the trends of purchases and returns, corporate folks do what they need to do to ensure that the products are avaible to everyone and the system is not being abused. In my opinion, Coach should make returns and exchanges with reciepts only and imposed a time limit likemost other stores...but then again, we would still compalin, ..

I have one. I just purchased three sabrina's. Want all the colors. I love the style. I should have waited on at least one of them. But I feel guilty using it as I have no issues with coach.
Thanks for your reply.

In regards to employees who work for Coach selling on the bay, it is a MAJOR NO GO!!! I remember speaking with my fav SA when the skull FOB's had just returned to the outlets, this was back when they were going for near $100.00 on the bay. I made a comment to her about the prices on the bay and one of the other SA's spoke up RIGHT AWAY and said "but we can't sell on the bay so it dosen't matter!" I would imagine that they would have to sign some type of contract about reselling when you consider their HEFTY discount (I remember an employee mentioning a 65% emp discount) so you can imagine the kinds of issues they'd have with employee's reselling. I do know that the employees are limited to a certain # of items that can be purchased with the discount on a monthly basis! I hope I never get banned, I buy and return quite a bit BUT my SA's know I purchase for myself and I usually return within a day or two when I've changed my mind, certainly not long enough for them to think I tried to sell it on the bay and was unsuccessful!

Wow, I had no idea it was so serious :( I do quite a bit of buying and returning, just the past three months together i have spent arround $2000 at coach, I bought a zoe pouch in black, returned for zoe in bronze, bought a sabrina in small, a sabrina in large, returnd both, got a legacy and exchanged it for a sabrina in large, and i got about 5 acessories with that. I made a big mess this month, but for that I only shop this way once or twice a year :) It kinda was an "accident" to buy and exchange so much. I hope this dosen't make me any trouble :(
I always thought the more time passed before a return the better- like at least a few weeks :) I never got the thought that it may have not sold on the bay and been returned therefore--- but if i think about it it makes sence and scares me. I hope coach dosen't do this!

I'd be surprised if Coach were as hyper-vigilant this time of year because of the holidays. I'm sure their return rate is pretty high at the end of December.

I know that I bought a LOT of stuff at the outlet sale for holiday gifts, and the sales people said that at those prices, they expect people to stock up for the holidays.

i don't care if Brighton Banned me , but i dont think i could ever get over it if i get banned from Coach. :sweatdrop:

^^ Sometimes it happens because someone has turned you in specifically as being a seller. Most of us on the forum are in no danger, even with a lot of returns and purchases and selling our items here and there... but we do have Ebay sellers who frequent the boards specifically to read/find out all the outlet stock and deals. You can notice this based on what they post, etc., and they may or may not be at risk. Once Coach and Ebay are able to tie the person to a specific transaction history and ebay account, then they can ban you. It can also be that a competitor reports you...this happened to someone I know, and she wasn't banned exactly because it wasn't 100% obvious she was an excessive power seller (and worked for a dept store, not Coach), but Ebay gave her a hard time. I was surprised to read her list of everything they had done to "discourage" her from selling over a one year period. She kept on fighting it, though, and is still in business.

I do know of another person that this happened to, and this guy drove from one outlet to another one and dropped $5-10k at a time. That was easily tracked because it raised an immediate red flag with Coach. He was pretty quickly banned.

In other cases, it can simply be you're reported by someone, and then they "watch" you till they can act. Honestly, I personally dislike selling Coach just from the fraud potential. For the most part, any problem I've had has been connected to Coach auctions. I would rather sell other brands that have a good market but less potential for fraudulent activity. It's worrisome to sell on Ebay period, especially now that sellers are left high and dry!!

since when can a store ban you from shopping or buying their items. if you have to many returns or have been caught shoplifting..
the thought of giving an SA your business so they make mucho commission and the whole time they are plotting on you taking your info to possibly report you..
Thats why I hate giving my personal information when purchasing anything, I hate those stores that swipe your drivers liscense.. I have had my personal info stolen from info that was on my checks and I am still heated about it
