Kim: I, too, dressed way more casual than the bag too (esp the box kelly is abit "classier"). but I have been trying to dress up abit more.

Being a natural klutz, I spilled gravy on my kelly :push: but a damp tissue clean it all up (I made DH rush out to buy a bottle water). I was all upset :crybaby:but DH said, "if you want to use your kelly, it's going to be like that."
So I had decided that I will not allow a bag to dictate/hinder my life/ lifestyle. I can tell you honestly there are countless times that I wished my Kelly is a Garden Party or an Evelyne or something in a non-box leather or even a 28 retourne Kelly, but I still will not trade this kelly for any of them. I switched over to a speedy today (for a week) is to allow my kelly to rest. She's being air-ed out right now and tonight I will wipe her down and get her beauty sleep.

Orchids, I know what you mean about the 28 retourne Kelly, I personally, feel the 32 retourne is more of a workhorse, perfect for me at work. But the 28 retourne is the ladies' bag, shopping, it's all about going out to have fun :heart:

Orchids, I agree with you about the 32's appeal. Somehow for me Kellys have to be big or small. The mid-size model somehow lacks either the cuteness of the small or the practicality of the 35.

The small Kellys hold a surprising amount. The 28 I have holds as much as a 30 Birkin, and sometimes I can even empty the contents of my 35 Birkin in there and somehow it's like a magic cavern sucking everything up. Only as you said in an earlier post, you can't just chuck things randomly back in after you've pulled them out.

I was even amazed that a 25 sellier holds A LOT. The only thing about it is that I have to use my compact Bearn. (PrincessFrog - another idea for you??? :graucho:)

orchids, thanks for testing out the water bottle in your kelly. now if i'm ever offered a bright colored retourne kelly, i can say yes to 28!

kim_mac, I think I'm the ultimate in casual dressing on certain days and it doesn't stop me carry my black box Kelly. Certain members of the forum have gasped in horror when I revealed that there are days when I'm dressed in flip flops (of the basic, beach-going variety, you can't get more casual than Havaianas) and shorts, AND carrying that Kelly.

I wore shorts with my Kelly too, :p Khaki shorts, black cap-sleeved t-shirt and gold prima crocs :heart: Even DH said I look cute! Yesterday, spaghetti blouse, white cargo mini-skirt cleo turquoise crocs and kelly - yes, beach-wear, we are pretty near Sentosa. :wlae:

wong: I thought I needed a light brown - think gold in VL, but when I was at our local H store, the noisette in epsom looks really good :heart: So I am settling for med brown instead and the 28Retourne Am loving socal's one at the moment!

PF - I wouldn't enable if I didn't think it wouldn't suit you. :yes: (Whoa - am I getting too embroiled in the triple negative here?)

I think the smaller Kellys would go so well with your casual outfits.

And btw a black box retourne 28 (which you mentioned earlier) would be too much of the same w/ your current bag. I once tried a chocolate box Kelly, and guess what, it didn't look too different from my black box Kelly, so I passed.

:nuts: thanks to this thread and the noisette, cognac and gold thread, I'm able to narrow down the colors for the next Kelly :tup:

I know, the navy/indigo is really dark and I have been dreaming about the chocolate togo kelly that LZ has :drool: and it just do not make sense.

I need another neutral kelly and then I will go for the colors ;)

Orchids, Wongnumber...I am in complete agreement in respect to the appeal of the 28 cm Kelly. I also tend toward larger bags...35 cm Kelly and Birkin... The 28 cm Kelly was such a suprise to me...I love it! In particular, I appreciate how it can be a bit fun/funky...

Bagg, Little sister is gorgeous!
