i was set on my next kelly being 32 retourne, but i'm loving my 28 sellier so much, i'm thinking i should get a 28 retourne instead. oh man, must go back and re-read all those threads on 28 versus 32...wish i could just walk in a try them BOTH on side by side...

I've seen a couple of them too. Gorgeous. Coincidentally both were in gold togo. The white stitching adds the extra "ooomph" to the sellier construction.

kim: I am having the same issue, I have SET my mind on a 28 sellier black box/cherve kelly (esp seeing VB's yummy cherve kelly) but I need a brown retourne 32 as well, but ... need to re-think about it as I am leaning towards the 28cm right now.. gotta read the same thread as u, 32 vs 28
princessfrog, for me a 28 sellier is perfect. i think a 32 sellier would be overwhelming. i prefer smaller bags anyway (e.g., i look better with the LV 25 speedy versus everyone else who looks great with the 30). but i'm having a tough time with 28 or 32 retourne. i'm leaning towards 32, especially if it's in a classic color like gold or black. i hear you on vb's 32 black chevre sellier kelly. i LOVE that bag but had to get the classic black box sellier first. now i don't know if i'll ever get the chevre sellier b/c there are so many other colors/bags to consider before buying ANOTHER black kelly. if it's a bright color, i think i would seriously have to think about 28 retourne b/c i think brighter colors tend to look "bigger".

Kim_mac, yes, it will, but not upright. I just tried the Arrowhead flip top 1 pt and 7.7 oz bottle and was surprised to see that it fit if you lay it horizontally at the bottom and then put your items in, assuming you're carrying a small wallet and not too many other big items. I remember being able to squeeze a small Evian bottle upright in my 28 cm Retourne when I was traveling, but you have to position things a bit. You can't just take it out and toss it back in if you KWIM.
Kim: I am carrying my speedy 25 today and being barely 5ft, it looks better on me than the 30.

princessfrog, i admire you carrying around your box kelly everyday. you'll have a beautiful patina in no time! i am a wimp about carrying around my black box kelly. so paranoid. second reason is that i dress WAY more casual than the bag.

Another shout-out for the 28cm retourne. I am traditionally a big bag lover, but the 28cm was a huge surprise for me. That bag was dragged around with me everywhere in Paris and absolutely stuffed with a camera, makeup bag, wallet, phrasebook, maps, small water bottle, and a bunch of other little things. It's truly a workhorse, and there's something very cute about it that the 32cm retourne doesn't exude for some reason.
I have both 32 retourne and 28 retourne and I prefer the 28. It is lighter and to me fits my frame better. I also like it for going out to eat as it never needs its own seat and sometimes another seat just isn't an option. I have a few retourne 28 Kellys that I use as my everyday bag and also for day-to-night.
Whenever I use my 32, my things seem to be swimming in it. I just don't carry that much.
