Sometime I would like a red Bal City like this one, a Lipstick Red:

I'm trying very hard to not buy outside of the EU due to added taxes and such. And in my experience the EU customs have for some time gone completely bonkers with orders from the US which also makes me think twice. But this red Bal just looks so lovely and I can not imagine why it's not selling :confused1: Does anybody have a clue why? Price too high?
It reminds me of my Rouge Vif clutch, a perfect red so I have major major bag greed for this one.

maybe because it's off????
photos look like borrowed stock pics and F at the back of the tag does not match D on the front plate....
and i am not commenting on authenticity, just saying....

Oh, "mer*e" (sounds so much better in French doesn't it :p ) ! And oh no! Displaying my newbie status again :blush: :lol: I just thought Lipstick Red was a newer colour since the metal plate looked to be from more recent collections.

I was going to ask about why the metal tag said D (as in 2003) but I didn't have time because I had to dash off to the dentist's. I think you are right k, but I can't edit my post now. Maybe some nice mod will come along and just erase this blatant display of Bal ignorance on my part from TPF eternity.

Am I wrong for still coveting this red even though it's allegedly a fake?! But thanks ksuromax, now I have one less bag to obsess about which is a very good thing :flowers:

ETA: Just reported my post to mods so hopefully they'll delete it soon. I'm so disgusted by all these fakes being sold I can't even express it. Not just bags, but lamps and everything else.

don't rush to lash yourself, cherie (since we speak in French ;) ) it is a mix of different pics, and possible none of them represents the item for sale
i have just had 2 cases when Sellers used mix pics, one was blatant scammer, used stolen pics and sent me a fake scarf (well on its way back to the seller!!) and another just didn't bother to take fresh pics, but used older ones for the same item, it finally turned out to be fine, but it took me some time (and nerve cells) to dig out the truth...
on the other note, letters go backwards, my 2016 city has D for SS, and AW should have C, and logically 2017 will have B for SS and A for the AW collection

I haven't seen them both side by side, but i tend to say it's not, groseille is orange-y/brick-y shade of red, while coq ir clean, true red, groseille is warm shade while coq would work perfectly with cold shades of blue, steel grey, etc

So you know I have this bag in the Town size bought directly from B. The back of the tag says E. The Town doesn't have a metal plate -- it has a leather tag that just says Balenciaga etc.. Anyways, the paper tag shows a D on mine. So confusing indeed. I think this is a beautiful bright red. I am guessing it is not selling quickly because Bals arent selling for that much on the resale market even for NWT (sad but true).

ah thanks! if groseille is straight up warm then it is a no go for me as i am a deep neutral and love my cold and warm clothes equally. i do have coq and it is indeed superb to be with either end of the spectrum.

bordeaux is neutral enough, i think?
